GHOST3DTWEAK - just working with old videocards ?

    Hi all,

    just tried Ghost3DTweak on my new machine:

    AMD 4400+ 2GB RAM XP SP2 NVIDIA 7800 GTX

    Using 3DMARK05 I don't see any improvement. Changing one of the Default-Settings (or both) will cause an error:

    Direct3DDevice9: Presentfailed Driver internal error CD3D ERR_DRIVERINTERNALERROR

    Any idea ?

    I have noticed a similar thing with some new games, the other possibility is 3DMark 05 changed their code due to my program to avoid cheaters. What version of 3DMark 05 are you using?

    it is the free version of 3DMark05 Ver. 1.2.0

    Nvidia-Driver, I think it is the latest, 8.1.9.5

    A friend of mine will check out the program on his older system.

    Hi all,

    Here are some additional information for gamers:

    my friend tried to start CALL OF DUTY 2 with the DEFAULT-SETTINGS (100/100).
    The game crashes.

    I once again tried the same - the game freezes, though sound and mouse movement is still working, I had to power off the machine to get out of the situation. (CTRL+ALT+DEL - no reaction)

    Conclusion: this software is in alpha-stage or a Dummy-product and doesn't work at all

    Hi Dieter,

    I will be taking another look at Ghost3DTweak not too long in the future. Some applications (3dMark05 being one of them) do not display anything at all, but I could still run the benchmark without it showing anything to get the benchmark result I posted on the website.

    3DMark 2001 visibly worked with graphical glitches when I tried it, you might want to give that one a go. The newer games are much more sensitive to their polygons being removed, so much so that they get errors in other parts of their graphical code.
