I clicked on the button "buy now".

What happened: take a look at the image of that "generous" offer, and you know enough...

From what i can make of it ,you pay 60 dollars and then send in rebate forms ,whereby they send you a cheque back (which can take up to 10 weeks according to pdf info) for the 60 dollars (less tax) which you then have to cash.

According to pdf file you can send off and get your "rebates" .Apparently there are 2 which come to 60 dollars.

    EDIT..

Looking at it again it seems that you will get a 30 dollar discount (if you send that rebate form in ) and MAY qualify for the extra 30 dollar discount if you are upgrading and a previoud macafee norton customer?

I dont think id bother anyway.

Yep...might be ok if your a previous owner of one of those then.Even for 30 dollars off ,i dont think id bother going through all that rigmaroll though.Theres usually a catch when you have to go digging for information ,rather than it being presented upfront anyway.
