    Hello All:

I've been away from the forum for a while as I was *really* disgusted with the functionality (or lack of) for v9.

As new(er) versions have have been released (I currently have v 9.9.2302) has the state of disrepair improved? Am I still better off using v8? Should I just bag TI and move to another solution?

    TIA,all

    Jim

Well if my experience is any indication I would stay away from version 9 and if version 8 is still supported (wonder how long that will be) use that or check out other products.

If version 8 does what you want, stay with it ... that's what I would do.

V2323 seems much better by the reduced number of posts. I am using it in a very basic manner by imaging from one SATA drive to another with no problems at all. It seems like problems with various USB drives are posted.

Build 2323 is the first one I've dared to try but it's working fine so far for just taking simple full/incremental images of my C/D/E partitions.

I kept a TI8 image just in case but tried restoring the whole of my C:WinXP partition with TI9 and I'm here typing this now ;)

...and the usual thing to remember with product support forums is 99% of posts will be for problems, you only hear the good things if you specifically ask. Also not helped by the sheer popularity of this product now compared to 1 or 2 years ago so the problems reported have probably tripled but no worse than any other product on the market I'd say.

You've got that right. In fact if you look at this forum you see a lot of recent posts on V8 problems, the very same version that is held up as the holy grail of all that is right with imaging programs!

True Image 9.0.2323 Seems to be Much better with the Newest Build, Still A Few Minor Bugs But nothing major found When I Created A Image Of My Primary Partition,I Even tried A Restore, Worked perfectly Also So It seems All is ok enough to use True Image 9 As My Backup solution,I Still Keep One Full Backup Image That Was Created Using True Image 8.0.937 Just Incase If All Else Fails, Will Keep it for Awhile until I Know For sure that True Image 9.0 Is almost Bug free acording to the forums but my personal opinion is I Think TRue Image 9.0 is a great product
