    I see on the Acronis website that PES 9 is now available.

    When can those of us that still have time left (¼ of a year, for me) on "1-year subscription $19.99 Limited time offer" and problems with PES 8 expect to receive notification for the new version 9 to replace the problematic version 8?

    As stated here;

    Hello,

    Please be aware that this issue has been solver. The fix will be available in the next build of Acronis Privacy Expert Suite 8.0 in the nearest future. We apologize in advance for the current inconvenience.

    Thank you.

    Hello mrtee,

    Thank you for choosing Acronis Internet Privacy and Antispyware Software.

    Please be aware that you can upgrade your Acronis Privacy Expert Suite 8.0 to the 9.0 version for free. You should visit the Update Section at our web site and download the latest update.

    Please also note that you don't need a special serial number for the upgrade. You can use your serial number for the previous version to install the 9.0 version.

    If you have any further questions please feel free to ask.

    Thank you.

    I also had problems with PES 8 but after updating to PES9 it got even worse. My system started rebooting itself just after I could see my desktop. I could not even have time to open the updated PES9. I had no other option but to rebuild my system. Just wondering if anyone went through a similar experience.o_O

    No problems here, PES 9 installed fine after uninstalling PES 8. There were even updates already!

    Internet cleanup ran very quickly, but a reboot was still required after removal.

    Now if I can just get rid of the DEMO version of DiskDirector 10 so that I can resize partitions from Windows I will be happy for a while.

    Hello vlodek and mrtee,

    Thank you for choosing Acronis Internet Privacy and Antispyware Software.

    Please be aware that if you encounter the above mentioned problems please try to boot in Windows Safe mode as it is described in this Microsoft Knowledge Database article. Uninstall Acronis Privacy Expert Suite and then reboot your PC.

    Please install Acronis Privacy Expert Suite 9.0 after that.

    In case your system keeps rebooting after that please do the following in order to enable mini-dumps:

    - Right click on "My Computer" and choose "Properties";
    - Go to "Advanced" tab;
    - Go to "Startup" and "Recover Settings";
    - Choose "Small memory dump" in "Write debugging information" box;
    - Close all the dialog windows by clicking OK buttons.

    Now, please reproduce the system crash and collect the mini-dumps created. This will allow us to investigate the problem thoroughly.

    Please submit a request for technical support. Attach all the collected files and information to your request along with the step-by-step description of the actions taken before the problem appears and the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with the solution.

    Please use the following way to uninstall Acronis Disk Director Suite 10.0 :

    - Deactivate Acronis OS Selector
    - Delete snapman value from

    * HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E967-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} -> UpperFilters
    * HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{71A27CDD-812A-11D0-BEC7-08002BE2092F} -> UpperFilters

    - Delete snapman key from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services
    - Delete the following registry keys:

    * HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Acronis
    * HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Acronis
    * HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Disk Director

    - Delete \Windows\System32\autoprnt.exe if it exists
    - Delete the following folders:

    * \Program Files\Common Files\Acronis
    * \Program Files\Acronis

    - Delete the Desktop icon and Start menu shortcuts
    - Reboot the computer.

    If you have any further questions please feel free to ask.

    Thank you.

    Hello Acronis,
    In Safe Mode I uninstalled PES 8 and then I installed PES 9 in normal mode. The result is the same - my system keeps rebooting. In Safe mode I followed your instructions to choose "Small memory dump" option and rebooted to normal mode to reproduce my system crash. Now, how can I collect the mini-dumps created? I cannot do anything in normal mode because my system keeps rebooting so please advise where and how to find the mini-dumps.
    Thanks

    Hello vlodek,

    You should be able to collect mini-dump files by booting in Windows Safe mode.

    In case no mini-dumps were created please create Windows System Information as it is described in Acronis Help Post and submit a request for technical support in the way described above.

    Thank you.
