I have a problem installing True Image in that after I purchased it, downloaded and then tried to install, a box prompts me to enter the license number. After doing this, it tells me there's an older version that I need to enter the license number for thatas well. I have no older version and can't get past this as it won't continue the installation without that number. All I had associated with Acronis was Migrate Easy, which I used to clone my old drive. I even uninstalled this and that did no good. So, now I've paid for a product that won't allow me to install it. Any suggestions on what to do at this point? I tried writing Acronis but I can't get logged in there either! This is beginning to be a bad purchase it seems. I have the registration email address and password but, when I hit "sign in" it tells me to "Please check that you have entered your registration email and password correctly". To my knowledge, I have registered this product and gave them the email address, gave them a password, and got an email that it was registered. I don't know what's going on with this??

Well, I will say that your problems at install time sound VERY much like you mistakenly (were allowed to) purchased the UPGRADE version of True Image 9. When I purchased it, after entering my TI 9 serial number, I had to then supply my TI 8 serial number.

As for the registration/login problems, sorry I'm no help other than to say people have posting about having registration problems, although I can't say if they've posted about your particular problem.

It was TI 9 that I purchased..never had any other version. I did write them but as yet have not received a response. I may end up haviing to get the version 8 from what you told me. Don't know how confusing that may be for them or exactly how they'll do it since I have the latest.

Well, to make it even more confusing, once you get the correct installer for TI 9, you ought to test it carefully as they are currently trying to get the fix to some problems (you can read plenty about those in this forum) thoroughly tested before they release the next build of TI 9.

In the interim, Acronis has said they will supply version 8 to any TI 9 purchaser that needs it -- primarily due to some people not being fully functional with TI 9 as it stands now.

    Good Luck !

The full version of ATI9 is $49.99 and the upgrade is $29.99. The amount you paid should give an indication of which version you actually purchased.

Also, did you try entering your Migrate Easy serial number? Now that it has been included in True Image, I have an idea that it is eligible for upgrading to ATI9.
