Mapped drives disconnecting

How come I always get the screwy ones

I've run into an issue with my win2k workstations losing their drive mappings when NOD is installed. They're connecting to a win2k server (SQL) that is running the administrative version of NOD.
Any suggestions?

How does it behave - you can't connect to the mapped disks at all, or do you have just a red cross through the mapped disks (e.g. in the Windows Explorer) and you can connect?

According to the on site tech, the mapped drives are accessable. However, when amon is running, a red X shows up on all of the mapped drives. The x's apparently never go away even though the drive is accessable. Now for the good part. If a user opens up a file on one mapped drive, then saves the file to another mapped drive, an error pops up stating the drive is in use. The user clicks on the OK button and the file is saved to the new drive. I don't yet know if the error occurs if the file is saved to the same drive it originated on.

I've had an update. The error shows up when saving to the same drive also. The text of the error is as follows:
"An error occured when reconnecting T: to <UNC path>\tvalue.
Microsoft Windows Network: The local device name is already in use.
This connection has not been restored."
For security reasons I removed the UNC path from this message.
Any ideas?

If Amon is disabled and the same action is repeated - does it happen too?

I need clarification on what you mean by the word "disabled". Do you mean simply quit the amon program from the system tray or install nod32 without the memory resident piece? I ask this because I see no change in the task list before and after quitting amon. Therefore, I don't know if amon is truly disabled.

I mean doubleclicking the moving "NOD" icon in Amon.

You're kidding, right? Though to answer your question,
No, I haven't, the version of NOD I'm running is installed in a production environment. Running a Beta within that environment would not be a smart move. When is the release date for v2?

Will wait until the new product is released and test it on a few workstations within the mapped drives issue environment. I really do hope the new version addresses the problem. Nod appears to be a great product. I look forward to the release.
