Problems uninstalling ADD 10 Trial

XP Pro SP2
80 GB SATA with 10 GB primary partition for OS and the remainder unallocated.
When I uninstall the trial using Add/Remove, I reboot and everything is normal. Then I remove entries in the registry according to this post:

I rebooted and Windows informed me that it was installing the new device but did not say what it was. I checked Device Manager and found a "Generic
Volume" listed. I went to Disk Management and found that the C: partition was no longer named C:. It had no name. I right clicked the partition and saw that
I was able to delete it. Windows does not allow the deletion of primary partitions! I then used System Restore to correct the problem. When I clicked
on the restore point, Windows informed me that after this point System Restore
would no longer function on the C: drive because it had been altered or
removed. It did restore things back to normal from this restore point though.
The problem is that using the removal instructions from the post above did
not quite match up with my registry entries and because I'm new at removing
them. Starting from the top of the instruction post:
1. Upper Filters is named PartMgr, not snapman
2. Upper Filters is named VolSnap, not snapman
3. I believe there was a snapman key here but there is not now. There are
VolSnap and PartMgr keys (folders). Are they part of it?
4. Found and deleted.
5. Found and deleted.
6. Does not exist.
The rest do not exist or are uninstalled with Add/Remove.
I am waiting to install the working version which I bought. Will it overwrite
these entries or will these entries cause problems?
What next?

 

Uhhhhhhhhhhh--Yup, it was me. VolSnap and PartMgr are both Windows components. I had deleted VolSnap from the registry, that is what caused the "Generic Volume" problem. I have installed the working version and used it to resize the C: drive to 17GB with no problems. It performed the operation in about 1 second.
I'm back in business, thankyou Acronis!
