Is there any place to download the Spy Sweeper updates manually. When I run the updater it stops at 85% and then says the file is corrupt and the backup will be put back. I'm using version 3.5 and the backup is the one with it when it was first installed.

I don't think there is, why don't download the latest version 4.5.7.656:https://secure.webroot.com/register/softwareupdates.asp. Uninstall 3.5 and install 4.5.:)

I tried the new version but they will not work on my computer (98se). When installing it, it gets to WRSSSDK.exe and an error message came up: "A device attached to the system is not functioning". It will finish installing and a message that says "Error: The Spy Sweeper installation has been damaged. Please reinstall the product" comes up and it won't work. Then it finishes loading. But, when it opens the following are not enabled to work--Sweep Now, Remove, Results, Quarantine and Alerts. So all I have is basically an empty shell that will not do anything

I went to the Spy Sweeper program file and clicked to open the differnet .exe programs to see what they would do.

When I tried to open WRSSSDK.exe the follow two messages came up--"Error Starting Program: The ADSLDPC.DLL file is linled to missing eport NTDLL.DLL: RtllnitUnicodeString" and "A device attached to the system is not functioning"

When I went to Webroot, all they could say over and over was to download 3.5 and itstall it, but the updates will not work in it.
