OK, so I'm Mr Al Cheapo, but is there a better price for NOD32 other than $39 price tag. And no I'm not a student.

    Cheers

It's no secret that if you purchase a 2-3 year license, you'll get some discount.

I was a regular AV product user who was so impressed, we became a reseller - but I would still have paid twice the list price for tools and protection I get for our office - the level of protection and information I get about threats blocked on our network would cost me THREE times as much with the "majors" - and it was the biggest of those that was "protecting" me when I got bit in the butt 15 months ago... !

well not interested in starting a feud and I CERTAINLY appreciate the forum, how about we just find a way to make a special or something. I need to buy the software after my trial period ends as well. Lets face it - its all about the bling bling :D

I appreciate that you want the software cheaper - but unless you purchase directly, the reseller makes a margin on the software - from this they have to support the purchaser - ONE PHONE CALL will kill the profit in a license and the renewals for several years to come... and my experience is that those that will purchase for less all the time are not "generally" loyal to the one supplier - so cutting the price is simply slashing the ability to make ANY profit.. in the end, no-one wins...

As stated above, purchase a 2 or 3 years license and there are great savings to be made.

    Cheers :D

Yes but not always. How many people do rely on friends in order to sort out their computer problems when their computers are infected by virusses or malware. How many times are these friends called to solve these issues ASAP. People relying on friends do that only for one reason... they do it for free.

I WAS one of these friends solving for free all the computer issues from family and friends and I realised it costed me much more time than I was prepared to spend and much more money (petrol) too.

I dont mind spending time and money to be with friends but I do mind spending time and money with friends just to keep their computers clean or have thier computers cleaned over and over again. I don't mind spending good time with friends, I do mind having a bad time with computers.

So here is the deal I made with my friends and family. They all had to buy NOD32. I installed it (or checked the install). In the unlikely event that one of the computers would be infected I would come and have their computers running again for free. Without NOD32 I would charge them a consultancy fee of $100/hr.

Guess what... not one of the computers was infected over the whole of 2005, friends kept on calling me for drinks and dinner... and I did not have to spend time cleaning computers again.

If all "friends like me" would start charging for all the "free" interventions then everybody would realise that even $100 for NOD32 is extremely good value for money.

Well the choice is easy... would you prefer to pay the few dollars for NOD32 ... or would you prefer to pay the real value of time spent by the people sorting out your problems?

    Best regards
    Itsme
