    it doesn't want to be a duplicate of the Should I upgrade to Version 9.0? Or stay with Version 8.0? thread

    TI 8 has been updated to build 1002

    I just wonder whether the developing process for v8 is still going on.
    if not, why release an upgrade?

    Another thing: for v8 there was a server version: trueimageserver8.0_s

    for v9, isn't there any server version anylonger?

    and, what's the difference between
    trueimage9.0_s and trueimage9.0_d ?

    thank you

    I just checked Acronis Updates - TI8 is still 937. Where do you find 1002?

    edit: Sorry, I see you're talking about the Server version.

    True Image 8 has no more updates being released as version 9 has now been released, version 8 has only been released for the server and other operating systems as they don't have version 9 released yet but when they do, I Don't think any more updates will be available for version 8, the home/Office version 8 no longer has new updates released from what I've read

    Hi Angelica,

    I think the _d indicates a trial version and the _s is a full (paid) version. :cool:

    Hello everyone,

    Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

    I would like to confirm the following statements:

    1. We do not develop Acronis True Image 8.0 any more, so there will not be any new builds for this product, except of some special cases and specific problems.

    2. The new build 1002 you mentioned above is for Acronis True Image 8.0 Server for Windows.

    3. The new versions of Acronis True Image 8.0 Server for Windows and Acronis True Image 8.0 Enterprise Server for Windows will be released in the near future, but exact time frame is not decided yet.

    4. Please note that the official marking for the installation files is as follows:

    trueimage9.0_s_en.exe - standard (full) English version;

    trueimage9.0_d_en.exe - demo (free trial) English version;

    trueimage9.0_s_de.exe - standard (full) German version ;

    trueimage9.0_d_de.exe - demo (free trial) German version;

    etc.

    If you have any further questions please feel free to ask.

    Thank you.
