Does anyone know how the development of the prevx1 next built is going? Any know when it will come out and if they are going to improve the other options that are only in alert mode now.

It's coming right along, they are putting in some all new features like a rootkit scanner and keylogger detector. The old style protection is still being debated, from what I understand.

It should come out in between 3 - 7 days depending on the QA process. I asked Prevx1 Support the other day, and its going to be a major update and some changes to the GUI as well.

Nice to hear that and hope it does come out soon. Hopefully it will offer more than the current prevx1 in terms of changing some of the options to active instead of just in alert mode.

As I have been a tester since it's inception , beware of the release date . We never know for sure . Excellent product but , slow when it comes to releases . It IS looking good though . And Notok is dead on . It will have lots of good stuff

That goes for a lot of companies, though. I don't mind, personally, if it means that the quality will be higher. What usually delays product launches is the QA process.. those that rush releases out the door usually end up really buggy.

Has anyone besides me noticed a slow windows startup during the welcome screen with this new prevx1 beta built?

How much longer? Mine takes about 2 to 3 secs longer. The difference occurs during the splash screen. Nothing to concern about I think.

I am new to Prexv and trying the beta. So far I am really impressed!
Nice layout, light and unnoticeable on the system…
But, does it really work? Has anybody test it in the wild... I am asking since so far I haven't received a single warning...

During the startup Prevx 1 is checking the entries in the Jail according to info posted on Castlecops. I don't get more then a few seconds delay in starting on my system.

About this physical memory access... I wonder why didn't Process Guard came up with the message that Prevx1 wants to access physical memory?
    Maybe I missed it?

    Hi All,

We have now released the latest version of Prevx1 v1.2.0.52 which is likely to be our last v1.0 release before we move on. If you haven't yet tried this version we would appreciate if you could and provide feedback on any issues through our support.

We are currently working on the next major release of Prevx1 and will incorporate some of the feedback we have received from this forum.

Thanks for all the support and continued interest in Prevx1.

    Regards,

    Prevx Support

    Re: Prevx releases Prevx1

Excellent software, I have counterspy and this Prevx1 found winxp restore trojan and the counterspy did not, I own the counterspy version.

I am going to buy this one as well.

I am a exhacker, and still ponder off the path and sometimes going places you shoulnt. and I have tried it all. the worst is lavasoft- it gets corrupted after a while.

also the worst evil code out on the internet I think is the one Microsoft slips you due to a pirated copy of winxp, they somehow get your windows to either expire in 30 days, or you get 25 days of windows slowly dying and petering out and forcing a reinstall. wonder how they get that code slammed on your drive with every port and service that would allow that turned off.

    hummmmmm.

    FYI

for 19.99 I think its worth it.
