It's been almost 3 weeks since v2032 was released. Any plans on correcting
the recognized bugs? As much as I dislike Symantec/Norton's programs, I'm
seriously considering jumping the Acronis ship.

    Ooops! That should've been "2302," not "2032."

Doesn't Norton Ghost have a bunch of problems of its own? After all my research I felt that there were more complaints about Ghost then True Image which is why I purchased the TI 9.0 + DD 10.0 combo a few days ago. I am definately reconsidering TI myself though since I couldn't get backup over Firewire to work for me.

Also, I noticed that CompUSA is selling the Ghost 10.0 + Antivirus 2006 combo for $20 after rebates for this week only (ends Nov 19 2005)! I still wanted a partition editor though and Partition Magic still costs $50 from Norton so I went with the Acronis combo which gave me what I needed for $10 more than if I got the $20 Norton combo and the $50 Partition Magic.

I would stick it out a bit longer if you don't really want Symantec's stuff. I am going to give Acronis the benefit of the doubt, it seems the really dumb errors that should never happened have been fairly well corrected with 2302 and the problems reported now tend to be a bit more obscure - that is not to say there aren't a number of problems needing fixing.

I also am going to go a bit further out on the limb and say that perhaps Acronis has taken the numerous complaints about inadequate testing to heart and is making sure the next build has undergone better QA before it is released.

Time will tell if my limb gets sawed off!

I probably will stick with Acronis simply becuase their support appears to be top notch. If they are willing to have support people here actively supporting these forums and investigating individual issues on request then they must be willing to put in the effort to get their software fully fixed! Keep up the good work with the customer support Acronis!
