    Hi folks,

I just wanted to ask how I'd go about restoring an Acronis True Image
backup file saved on a networked PC. To explain further, we have two PCs,
both are saving their True Image backups to each other via a LAN network.
But it dawned on me the other day that I'm not really sure how I'd be able to recover an image from the other PC, other than physically taking out the hard disk from one PC and putting it into the other.

    Is there a simpler way?

    Thanks.

While I've never done it, seems to me that if you are able to save the image across the network, then the Restore procedure should be able to find it. Have you tried it?

    1 Boot with Ti cd
2 Go to computers near me (last option)
3 Log onto networked computer, find backup image file (tib files)
    4 Start restore.

    Hi,

I also have the same problem. I just tried the steps below. But there is nothing when I choose the computers near me... And what is the Ti CD ?

    Thanks

    Thanks Noonie and Chuts.

I hadnt realised booting from the Cd would give me the
option to browse the network and find the image to restore
    from. Clever!
...Just got to try it now and see if it works.

If all else fails I guess I could remove the drive in question
and put it in the PC, and restore it that way.

    Cheers,

    Tinni

The CD mentioned in step 1. You did follow the steps, right?
