Hi All, some very interesting pseudonyms, and I'll bet some neat stories how they were chosen. Here's mine:

My real first name is Richard & for as long as I can remember I've been Rick. Okay! I met my brother & sister-in law (many moons ago) in New Orleans (vacation) and had a great time. My brother in-law called me Rico for the whole trip. And now I'm Rico, on the net.

    Take care

There was an English series called "Robin of Sherwood" that I really liked. Robin's father was named Ailric. I thought it was a neat Celtic sounding name so I used it. I'm a big fan of the Robin Hood tale and English lore.

Mine is a shortened version of a nickname I have had for years. My whole life, people used to make fun of or call me nickames based on my last name (not telling :p).

When I got older, my friends ran out of ideas for the last name and started using my first (Andy). So they started calling me Andy Capp (like the comic) and then it was just shortened to "Capp". So I'd hear stuff like "sup capp".

It stuck...and I named my company after it (see signature) :D

    Hi Rico!

Uguel [yougel] sounds like my real name and 707 was the number I had
while running in the 5 km and 10 km race in Québec.;)

I should not even be writing in this but , I cannot give my details . If I did , most would know who I am . I come here to escape the hustle and bustle of life . I like being unknown now . A nice change , which is what I had hoped for .
By the way , all the previous post are really kinda cool . I will continue to watch this thread . Interesting in the least

Well, actually I have two handles. They come from devouring copious amounts of 'Baked Bean Man's' culinary delights w/ample wiener dogs and a finger or two of nanners.

Nothing special about mine, which is almost self-obvious. Mike B.--- is my real name.

I quickly found, ages ago, that most places "MikeB" was already spoken for (I think, among others, there's a rock-music buff using that), so I simply added "Cda" for Canada. And now I'm MikeBCda just about everywhere on the net, saves me from constantly having to experiment with new names. Other than, of course, the nightmare ID Yahoo suggested when I first registered there, which I just gritted my teeth (what's left of 'em, anyway :p ) and accepted.

Maybe I should have "punctuated" this one, though -- lots of times people see the "MikeBC" part and assume I'm out in British Columbia.

:) I think I have told this before some where here at Wilders, but here goes again.

I was sitting in the N.C.O. club at Sembach AB Germany (the late 1970's), listing to the country music. The club had a few separate areas and different music was played in each, the club also had live entertainment. O.k. I was listing to the music and one of my friends came up to me and said why don't you come and listen to the "rock". I told her no thanks, I'll stay and listen to the "country". She became exasperated with me and said words to the effect of "oh your such a Wildman". Thus when it came time for my handle it was "Wildman". I also liked Yosemite Sam as a kid, and thought it was perfect for the avatar and this handle.

    Thanks
    Wildman

Mine is from a pet name we had for my long passed grandads dog.
He had a skinny, wiry poodle which I nicknamed Tinribs, I kept the name as a bit of a tribute to my old granpy.

I am flushed with envy all ya'll have such cool handles..I figured if a Skunk could be called "Flower"..no reason a Cat could not be a potted plant to add some color to the Wilders Garden. Besides, it's better than the names they really call me at some of the other Forums. :D :ninja:
