    Hi,

I just upgraded to the latest build of Acronis True Image, build 2302 and it gives me a stop error message on bootup into Windows XP Professional, Service Pack 2.

Here is the message: A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

    *** STOP: 0X0000008E (0XC0000005), 0X80076F73, 0XF9B0099C, 0X00000000.

This is reproducable. I reinstalled a backup with 2289 and all is alright. My computer doesn't like some code in this build. I've tried all the builds since I bought True Image 9 and none of the other builds do this.

I may have solved my problem. I had a WD 350 gig drive paired up with a Maxtor 250. I put the WD on it's own SATA controller and that seemed to have fixed the problem. The thing is, up until this morning, I had no problem whatsoever with this configuration.

This post wasn't intended to be a slam on Acronis TI, I was just reporting what I thought to be a problem with the latest build. With so many computers and configurations, I'm surprised that software developers have as good of success as they do. :)

Has anyone else had a problem mixing different drives on the same cable?
