So I've got a problem: I decided to switch from Azureus to uTorrent (using bittorrent for errrrr legal purposes). It does seem nice but somehow I got bad speeds although the are a lot of seeds/peers. I tried changing settings and I also changed numerous times the incomming connection port. But I still get bad speeds.
So I check LnS log and, guess what, I've gotten quite a lot of incoming connections that want to connect to that port. I make a rule to allow connections and stop getting those logs. Good. Kinda good, because now I have this port open all the time. I want to have it open only for those seeds/peers, but have no idea what to do. :(

    Running LnS 2.05p2

Oh, and I at least made it so that this rule only kicks in when uTorrent starts, but, well, I have it working almost the whole day. :/

How do you differentiate a legitimate "seeds/peers" from a bad one ?
I'm afraid there is no way, since anyone can connect to your P2P server.

So, having a port open all the time is nothing bad? From what I've read, it seems to be perfectly ok. Kinda.
