Spybot S&D

I ran the latest update for SS&D - and under Detection Rules I get this msg: "Bad Cheksum!!" after I d/loaded/installed the update. What does this mean? Also, i usually d/l only Detection Rules...I don't update Main Skin, tea timer. etc. bcuz i don't enable TT. Am I supposed to d/l all these others besides detection rules? Thanks for this great forum and all the helpful moderators.

 

Hi Vickie;

Just run the updater again, and select a different server to DL the updates from (see screen shot). DL'ing just the detection rules should be fine.

Me too. I usually get bad checksum for most download locations. Before, all would work find, now I usually get bad checksum and have to check another download location. Most don't work.

 

I occasionally get the "bad checksum" thing too but always manage to get one of the download sites to work so i'm not concerned.
