Mostly, TI 9 has been working for me, but I have a few problems that I would like to report and hopefully, get fixed. I have the latest build, 2277.

    1. You removed the option to specify which days of the week to run a scheduled task. I have my backup protocol set to do a full backup on Saturday early morning, then incrementals to that backup for the next 6 days. I can no longer find that option, only every day or weekdays only. I can also see a case where backups would be alternated on different days to different locations and that is no longer possible either. Please restore the day of week selection option.

    2. I set my incremental backup task to run on weekdays and it failed to run this morning (Monday). I have set it to every day, but that will create an incremental immediately after the full backup on Saturday, which is what I would like to avoid.

    3. TI has left an animated icon in the system tray, even though no task is running. TI 8 did not leave the icon after the task was completed.

    4. If I try to edit a task before TI completes it analysis of my partitions at startup, the script is reported as corrupt. If I wait until the analysis is completed, the scripts are fine.

Other than these items, the images seem to be created properly and I have been able to plug an image and restore files. I haven't tried a full image restore, but that would only be in an emergency and I haven't had problems with that in the past. I hope you can address these few problems for me and others that may experience them.

    Thanks,

Unless this is a screen refresh problem, I'm pretty sure that the system tray API requires that a process be running for an icon to be present. Have you checked the process list?

Yes, I realize a task must be running but there is now of knowing which task is causing the icon. Right now, after a reboot, I have one TrueImageMonitor.exe task running. If the icon shows up again, I'll check for another TI related task. But the point is the icon indicates there is something running, yet a status check shows no scheduled tasks are running. This would seem to be a bug.

The task was the TrueImageMonitor.exe. I killed it and the icon disappeared.

    Hello nreiter,

Thank you for choosing Acronis True Image.

We are sorry for the delayed response.

First of all, please download the latest build of Acronis True Image 9.0 and see whether the problems persist.

In your first post you wrote:

We didn't remove any options from Acronis True Image. Could you please provide us with more details (attach a screen shot of the Schedule task wizard window with the "missing" option)?

    Thank you.

You're correct, I forgot that the option was under Weekly, not under Daily where one would expect to find it.
