the NOD32 SSE website is operated by one of the regulars here (Brian_N) - it's not spyware - it's a free service. I must admit though - the URL used by SSE did raise an eyebrow when I first saw it.

For what it's worth, we also operate a database where you can search signatures on our site. Both ours, and Brian_N's sites were setup because there was no easy way to search the signatures database from the Eset website. Each time there is an update, we both grab the information and add it to our databases so it can be searched using a search form.

eset is apparently working on a new web site - perhaps they'll have a similar function within their new site, but until then, use Brian's, or our search without fear of getting infected.

    regards

    Greg

Hi Axel, the site you found has _no_ spyware :) At all! (I own and maintain it)
As webyourbusiness has already written, it was created due to the lack of a search function in NOD32.

The URL, however, is weird.. I know that :)
I own whitehat.dk, a free 5mb homepage service to anyone, so it is in my nature to use one of my many many sub-dirs.

Trust me, no spyware or ads will never ever be added :)

No worries, it has been down for a week now - Major maintains has been done to the servers, and it now runs 30% faster :)

Anyways I'm still updating : And a new thing - You can see 'easy to read' statistics from each NOD update.
John made a demand, and I had to follow it :)
It's all new, done by glib.
