I still get "corrupt image" errors with the rescue disc. I still get FULL backups when I select incremental backup.

A flaky thing: when i created a new rescue disc, the total progress bar would be at 0%, then go to a positive value, then back to 0%, then back to a higher value, etc. No harm, but it undermines one's confidence in the program.

I appreciate Acronis's efforts - they have released 3 versions in the last week. We would all prefer they got it right sooner, but at least they're trying.

I too have the total progress bar alternately disappear and then reappear. Also, when I do a 'Check Archive', the creation date is always Dec.31/69 at 4pmo_O The date is greyed out, but it's very misleading.

    Hello fastjeff,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Could you please clarify when exactly you receive that message stating that the image is corrupt? Are you trying to create or verify or restore your image? Is the problem the same both from under Windows and when booted from Bootable Rescue CD?

When exactly do you see that "flaky" progress bar? Does it appear when you are creating Bootable Rescue CD? Please describe this issue in more words.

    Thank you.

    Hello creeker100,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software and for all the provided information.

I have forwarded the problem with incorrectly displayed image creation date to our Development Team and will inform you about the results of their investigation.

    Thank you.

Hi Alexey. This time I got it after creating the bootable rescue media and testing it by re-booting and checking an image with it. I chose the image i restored the other day with a TI 8 rescue disc, since the TI 9 did not work, so i know the image is fine. i did not try to restore an image, since i had tried that the other day and my drive was trashed when TI 9 failed with the "image corrupt" error.

It was not the same in Windows. I verified the same image in windows before re-booting, and it succeeded. It took about 15 minutes, but it said the image was fine. THen i go into DOS or whatever and it says it's corrupt.

as far as creating an image, please note what i said above about creating an addendum image, and how once again it created a whole new image, i guess, since it is larger than the initial image, despite having "3" appended to it's name, indicating an addendum.

i saw the "flaky" progress bar when i created the bootable CD. i don't know what more i can tell you about that. i described above what happened.

Can confirm this - no improvement with 2277.
I can create an image within Windows XP, and have a successful verification. But when I boot up with the rescue disc and start the verify process, there is always the "corrupt image" error occurring.
Should I try a restore within Windows, it would stop with the same error reading.
When I write an image under DOS, the writing process is successful, but a verification shows a "corrupt" image.
Now, when I boot up with a TI 8.0 b859 rescue cd, I can verify all previous (with 9.0) written images successful, and I can do succesful restores, too.
So my conclusion is that the images are OK but during the process of verification resp. prior to the restore process something is going wrong.
For me, that happened with all builds of 9.0 so far.
