Still getting the same problem: Error E00070020 - The Archive is corrupted, using versions:-

    TI 9.0.2273
    TI 9.0.2259
    TI 9.0.2247

Image created using any TI 9 version under windows XP Pro, verifies OK.

Image created using any TI 9 version Recovery CD, all fail verification with Error E00070020 - The Archive is corrupted.

Restore Image from Windows or recovery CD fails with Error E00070020 - The Archive is corrupted; and the HD loses the
    operating system and is corrupted.

Use the TI 8.937 Recovery CD with any of the TI 9 images previously created, they all verify OK and can be restored.

Note: Every version tried was a clean install.

The HD was checkdisked, defragged, Anti-Virus checked and Ad ware etc. before trying to make a backup.

However no problems with TI 8.937.

Can any one please tell me what Error E00070020 relates to.

Why aren't they doing anything about thiso_O? I purchased this product based on people on other Internet forums saying that this product (True Image) was superior  ~snipped unnecessary comment - snap~

if you wish to discuss other products, please start a new thread in the appropriate forum: Software & Services.

I did post it already elsewhere - TI9 build 2271 actually runs correctly on my wife's laptop (1,13 GHz, 512 Mb Intel mobile Celeron) - tried it this morning! OK, that can't be the solution, using an outdated, kind of slow system :) - I need TI for my real computer. I just hope the Acronis guys don't use only 1,13 GHz Intel Celerons, although it could explain a lot :D

Any update here from Acronis on ETA to solve this error? Have been a happy user since version 6, just got this error in brand-new-today (presumably current version) trial download of version 9 and it's killin' me here.

Using brand-new Thinkpad R51, Pentium M, archive verified as OK after creation but returns error e00070020 (the archive is corrupted) upon attempted restore.

    Pulllllease help. Thanks.

    Hi,

Had the same problem with latest build: newly created partition images (on usb HD), checked with no problem, returned error E00070020 during restore. I tried to restore them wit a new recovery cd also created with build latest build.

Restore succeeded with an old recovery cd.

    Little Pete,

Thanks for the advice. Nobody happens to know if or where one can download earlier builds, perhaps?

    Thanks again,

Now I am indeed really desperate. Acronis could not come up with build 2247 for me, only build 2258 which still has the problem.

Foghorne, if you could please contact me at ev1007 at 02cruise dot com I will provide an ftp upload-only site you can send the build 2247 trial to. THANKS a million.

Just as a curiosity, what happens if you try to use TI 9 latest version from Windows or TI 9 Recovery CD to restore a TI 8 image?

Do you get the same error?

I have the same problem with an Asus A7V133 1400 mHz PC with 1.5 gig of ram.

I am sure they will get this issue resolved. In my opinion they had a very good track record fixing problems in V8.0.

    Hi,

I have tried to restore image created with TI 8.0 using TI 9.0 latest build.
Every time I had error Error E00070020 - The Archive is corrupted.

With old recovery CD created with TI 8.0 I was able to restore image with no issues at all.

TI 9.0 for me is not a final product at all yet  . It is even not beta - it is pre-alpha!

Same here, E00070020 on Restore from Boot using TI 2277, works fine from GUI.

    setup: W2K, PIII 1GHz, and a non-restorable HD!

    What up Arcronis?

I think you have enough evidence now.

And since you only have promises of a fix, would you please make available a previous build (or version) that will restore 9.0 images from Boot (and indicate which of the TI 9.0 builds do not)?

I also get this error. I am using 9.0.2277 and stored a full disc image onto an external usb hard drive. It verified as ok using T.I. from windows. It showed corrupt if verified using rescue cd. It would not restore using either the rescue cd, or using T.I. from windows. I have a dell dimension 3000 with windows xp sp2 intel pentium 4. I was able to successfully restore an older image created with 8.0.937 on cd's using the 8.0.937 rescue cd.

I have windows ep pro operation system with latest Asus WC2 computer.
Everhting was okay with version 8 but version 9 I also keep getting "Error E00070020 the archive is corrupt.
One would have thought enough testing be done before release, will ask for refund from them.
    Good luck

I hope it is released soon. I would like to test it before my refund is processed. In the mean time I plan to wait about 4 months before I repurchase the software.

    Thanks for the update.

If we are going to get this error message from the True Image software, and we are completely frustrated that we can not use the program, can the error message at least be spelled correctly? The error message reports that "The archive is currupted." Try "corrupted". Small things like that become very irritating when you have spent many, many hours trying to get a simple disc image back up to work! I have noticed that many items in the program itself, and the user manual are spelled incorrectly, and worded in improper english. Maybe Acronis could hire someone with a degree in english (or just hire them for a consulting job rather than a full time employee), to aid in properly wording the instructions both within the program and in the user manuel. This would make it much more understandable, and less people would make the incorrect choices while performing a task within the program. Just a suggestion. (Disclaimer: I already know that my english is not always perfect, and that I may also mis-spell words at times, but I expect more from a software program which I am paying for, and better wording in the program and in the user manual would make things a lot easier for many of us).
