Build 789 not updating

Downloaded PES 8.0 Build 789 on 28 Sep 2005. I noticed today (1 Oct 2005) that there was an update to the PES 8.0 spyware module dated 30 Sep 2005. I do not have the program set to automatic updates. When I clicked to receive updates the program did not detect any updates. Uninstalled PES 8.0 Bld 789 and removed any references to it in the registry and made sure that the program files directory was removed (it was). Reinstalled build 789 same results. Download 30 Sep 2005 spyware update file. Ran it and message was that program updated. Looked in program files directory and noticed that the time date stamp on all files had not changed. How do I tell if program was updated and where is the update file located (file, registry, etc.?). Why did the program not detect that an update was available? Thank you.

 

I have the same problem...I wonder if it really is Up2Date...

Update. Today PES 8.0 Build 789, when I clicked on update spyware definitions now, notified me that update 10/02/2005 (60 new entries) was available. I downloaded and had that update installed (still don't know how to check if it actually installs). My guess at this point is that new build releases may have code installed that instructs the program to not check for new releases for an x number of days. My presumption at this time is that build 789 probably works as intended and so for now I will stick with it and not revert to build 748 again. Again these assumptions are only guesswork on my part.

 

Werne...I'm now getting worried... your'e lucky mine is still not updating...We'll have to see What Acronis Support says also how it updates...

I got a spyware definition update update finally with build 789. It was for Oct 2nd.

 

Got an update for 789 today - update dated Oct 4.

 

I finally got Update...Problem seems to be solved...
