Scheduler 2 Service

    I'm currently running a free limited version of Privacy Expert 8 as supplied with a magazine. (I do have the full version on order via Amazon UK).

    I have a full version of True Image 8 but I am finding that I am having to perform a repair reinstall each time as the Scheduler 2 Service has been removed.

    I have tested each of my spyware products and I'm sure it is Privacy Expert that is removing the Scheduler 2 service.

    In fact, when I last performed a repair install of TI8 I got a PE8 popup telling me to either accept or block the service startup on this occasion.

    First of all please make sute that you use the latest build (748.) of Acronis Privacy Expert Suite 8.0. In order to get access to updates you should register account on our site (or just log in if you have already created it) and then register your copy of the product. Then please download the latest spyware updates and try to scan for spyware again. If the problem remains please create a screenshot of what Acronis Privacy Expert Suite found on your computer and send it to support@acronis.com along with the link to this thread, also please indicate in the subject that you want to contact Irina Shirokova. This will allow us to investigate the problem.

    Thanks for the reply.

    I will not have access to the PC till the weekend, in the meantime it is the "Update" area within APE8 that is removing the entries mentioned. I have since removed the check from this area and it is no longer causing a problem.

    I will uncheck and post a screendump though.

    Currently I still only have the limited edition as supplied with a UK magazine last month whilst I still wait for Amazon UK to get the full version CD in stock.

    I'll be back...........

    I have showed these lines to our Development Team. To resolve your problem please press the "Next" button and follow the instructions on the screen. Then the program suggests you to reboot the computer and download the new Spyware Update. After that this issue will be resolved.

    Thanks, it will be the weekend again.

    I'm still waiting for Amazon.co.uk to get the full boxed version in stock whilst I use the free limited version that came with PCAnswers:

    Just as a side issue I have noted that my recently purchased True Image 8 has already been superceeded by True Image 9 :(

    Is Privacy Expert 8 about to be upgraded ? If so I will wait and upgrade at that time.

    The new version of Acronis Privacy Expert Suite 9.0 is scheduled for release by the end of october so we would be grateful if you downloaded it as soon as it became available and let us know your results with it.

    Ah

    I've cancelled my order with Amazon and ordered version 8 through www.computrolley.co.uk

    I know of another person who is also running a full version of TrueImage 8 and the free version of Privacy Expert 8 and is not having my problem, strange.

    Hopefully the full version should arrive by next weekend so I will completely uninstall the current version and then install the full version clean -

    and post back.

    The full version arrived yesterday.

    Installed and the above problem has not re-appeared.
