    Hi all,

Just downloaded Visual Zone for the latest ZA pro, but when i run the program Zonealarm won't let Visual Zone open the ZAlog.txt even after closing ZA.

In the help file i understood that i have to delete two files, Backup.rdb and IAMDB.rbd in windows\internet logs, but Windows won't let me, anyone else who have experienced the same behaviour.

    All tips are welcome,

    Thanks in advance,
    Martin

Just found out what did the trick.

Open ZA "alerts and logs" -> click the "advanced button" -> click the "log control tab" -> and uncheck the "archive log text files every 1 day"

After this start Visual Zone and the ZAlog appears in the main window. :D

    regards,
    Martin

I tried the recommendation and removed those two files, butthat did not fix the problem. I am still getting Error 5 unable to open load the ZAlog.txt message. Anyonde have any more ideas? The strange thing is that when I copied the log to My Documents, I was able to load it, so changed the path in ZAP to My Documents, and then I could import the ZAlog.txt file. But I would prefer to be able to keep it in the Internet Logs Folder. So it appears that something is blocking my OS drive, but I cannot figure out what it is. I am using Process Guard Pro, Spyware Doctor Pro (not running during this situation) and NOD32 in addition to ZAP 6 latest version. My suspicion is that it has something to do with either SP2 or ZAP, but unable to figure it out.

    Hi howiem

... and welcome to Wilders :)

Sounds like it could be a permissions issue. Are you running Visual Zone from the same account it was installed in?

    Regards,

Yes, I am running it from the same account, and it is an administrator level account on a stand alone PC. It used to work fine with ZAP Version 5.x before I put in SP2. I have since removed Visual Zone and am working on getting the DShield program working. I have noted that neither Dshield or the reporting programs seem to keep their programs up to date. They are still talking about Zone Alarm 3.
I should also mention that even after getting Visual Zonme to import the log from My Documents, it never showed any entries in the Visual Zone window.
