I have an Emc Clariion that is fibre attached to my servers using Emulex Fibre cards. I want to put my images on the clariion disks. Will this work using this software? If my server crashes will I be able to access those drives via fibre to get to the image? Thanks for the help

    Brian,

I have the same setup, but use QLogic HBAs. Yes, this will work and is even preferable given the built-in data redundancy in the Clariion. If the imaging host attached to the Clariion fails, you can simply install TI somewhere else and map from the server to the SAN disk to get the image. I hope this helps!

I guess my other concern is, Each host's fiber card is specifically zoned to it's own space on the clarion. For example, my web server can not see the space that is allocated my sql server. So I would not be able to map a drive from another server to get that servers image from the clarion.I was wondering if TI had some kind of generic fibre card drivers that can be used in the restore process.
