Tell what? I didn't make any charge. Mr Blaze made a statement. I am just curious if he can back it with fact, or was just talking.

will if you took the time and been waiting for over two years and read the bord every day regarding tds 4 from tid bits here and there you get the imprestion it was in its final stages hince the breaking it apart and resaleing it lol

    regardless the later still stands

at least these are my thoughts on it

you dont devote over two years to something then change your mind when its close to being done with out comeing up with an ideal on how to market something and make something happend otherwise you take total lost right

im not the sharpest tool in the tool shed so if i can think of this im sure they have

I don't know about the legal part or even the ethical part (in a software company sense) of discontinuing TDS.

But when you advertise till the last day that you can buy the product and get an upgrade to the next product, it's not very nice.

Since I've had to replace TDS, I have learned a lot about my computer security though. So that is the silver lining. Thank you to the many here at Wilder's who have educated me.

    Hi Dazed and Confused,

Your screen name is the way I feel. Somehow I linked into a thread that was 6 months old, but I did not realize it. And somebody yelled at me. Oh well, I've been told that you need a thick skin in message boards.

But yes, thank god for the nice and knowledgeable people around here.

and multiple posting names for purposes of "bumping topics, supporting a position stated by one identity through use of another, or to mislead or misdirect"

To the one person posting as: "Mandy."

Different team members have because what you are commenting on is a moderation notice directed at one person who was doing something wrong, and we won't discuss our moderation decisions out here. (We saw that you thought what they were doing was odd, and that you were surprised that people do it. We agree, but let's stop discussing that here. ;) )

What I would like to know, is DCS still in business? Is anybody there tending to business? I have attempted to contact them by email many times over the last few weeks, and never received a reply of ANY type.

Since TDS 3/4 went down everything seems to have gone quiet. I'm getting a bit concerned too. It's getting to be a very long 'just around the corner' so I hope they're still in business but you never know. If Wayne or Gavin would just drop in and post an update about what's going on it would be very much appreciated. It just seems like a communication blackout.

The words "Just released" still there though, but I always thought that wasn't an over-sight.

It's customary for the last released product to be tagged "just released".

Too much speculation in this thread ............. :(

Mostly the problem is being over worked :) We have updated the site a bit yes. We will continue to update it and then transfer over the full new site. This was a problem due to complete overhaul of the site which is frustrating but sometimes required to do the job right. Its a lot better anyway :)

Core product gone, website not being maintained, lack of communication with customers, inquiries into refunds being ignored. You do the math.

Gavin, I've told you guys time and time again that you need to improve, or change, your communication strategy. You continue to ignore this advice to your detriment. The price you pay for not disseminating information is that people are left to speculate, and they will. If you really want to stop the spectulation, your only option is to give your customers information. It's really that simple.

I don't really know that much about DCS, but I do know that I like every one of the programs they have produced. And if they develop another, I'll probably buy it too.

Having said that, I get the impression the company is VERY small, and since losing Jason, they are struggling just to answer support questions. They either need to hire some additional help, or maybe look into merging with another company.

Thats's the best thing you have written in weeks, dallen and yes, it really is that simple. ;) :D
Nobody wants DCS to merge with Microsoft, but Dazed_and_Confused is IMO right, they really need to add a man/woman or two. :)

Are you sure, their OS has more holes than swisscheese. Their browser is full of holes, I got fed-up with all the patches the same with Outlook Express, I am useing Opera/firefox and Thunderbird. I love them. M$ puts out software full of holes, when it is discovered they take up to six months to put out a patch. Now this,http://www.vnunet.com/vnunet/news/2142142/microsoft-pulls-critical . Isn't M$ the reason we need so much security gear in the first place.

Indeed, the lack of information, what's going on, is the main point.
I recommended the DCS products to a lot of friends, and they a l l say "we never will buy any product from this company again",
because they got no information about the "death" of TDS and feel cheated now.
Now the anger is over me, because I had to tell them that TDS is out of date, because no registered user got an email or any hint on their website.
you cannot expect people checking the Wilders forum daily, many people even never heard about it !.
Now we are waiting for new products or a new website since 6 weeks.
I am an average programmer, but I just need one week to create a new website from the ground up (ok, spending 6-8 hours a day)
For many years DCS had an excellent reputation, but now they lose everything.
IMHO it will be no big surprise if DCS will be sold to a bigger company.

@Dallen: I know you don't have many friends here, but keep on your criticsm, because there are too many persons here, flying the DCS flag regardless of being fooled.

    Regards
    Dieter

    To avoid misunderstandings:
I was JOKING about joining M$! Nobody is even speaking seriously about selling the business to them although i can imagine M$ could be highly interested in the technologies. M$ is not even located in Perth, so joining them is unthinkable.

At the moment i'm much more worried about my beloved Skype been sold to eBay!
This will need more protective measures, so i do hope DiamondCS will include extra protection for that too and some extra encryption etc etc.

I would agree with that. I was thinking of maybe some other small but well-run company (a DCS-type company that is managed correctly).
