Which registry cleaner do you trust most?

I use regscrubxp, Without any problems.
anybody else use regscrubxp

 

I mostly use JV16 Powertools 2005 or regseeker to clean up after using TotalUninstall 3. Haven't had a problem yet...

 

OMG, I just tried regseeker!
after I ran Regscrubxp
It found 921 that regscrubxp didnt
A bit scary
but I got rid of them
no problems yet
also found another hundred in the following 4 scans

 

I use ashampoo utilities and registry tools. also wincleaner

I installed it the same week I got my computer.
Knowing nothing about computers at the time I installed it on a recommendation to try to get rid of all traces of some program or other that was causing me problems.
I've been using it ever since and never had a single problem with it.

 

Is there a help file for regseeker somewhere? I want to put back the 300 entries I have in the backup.

I was hoping there was some way to put all the entries back without having to double click on each one.

 

I would ask "Which registry cleaner has NO false positives ?"
because that's the only one for ignorant users.

 

I concur. Better one registry too many, than one registry too short.
Registry cleaners aren't tools for ignorant users.

 

a question related to REGSEEKER, ive been using it for couple of days with no probs at all, i was wondering what does the EXCLUDE file should contain, there are quite some elements on this that i really dont know why they are defaultly X-cluded:

do every regseeker installed on a pc has different default X-clusion list according to users config? or it is the same for all of us....

 

also, taking advantage of the space.., ive had a recurrent problem for quite some time, i cannot do anything with a music FOLDER on my D: drive, nor delete, read, scan, etc, it contains corrupted music as i went through a blackout when i was trying to pass some musik to other place, somehow it became very corrupted, cuz even with system symbol - DOS with DEL command i cannot delete it, keeps saying to me ACCESS DENIED, so what should you ppl recommend me to do, format D:? (as i dont have anything that i cant back up first), or what else could be useful.....thx in advance.

 

I could not find very many helpful reviews from any reputable websites to help me in choosing a registry cleaner but I have not had any trouble with RegSupreme Pro.

 

seeing that Regseeker is good with everyone I downloaded it and it is quite impressive it does a great job. thankyou guys.

 

Registry Mechanic - bought it and used it on 98SE and the now current XP PRO (SP1 and 2 and current updates) and have seen time and time again, that you can trust RM, to work. Period. Also had 2-3 updates of the app., in short time that I've had it.
That co. seems to have done their homework, as I think all here know what a gaffe in the Registry can do...

For all those who put their trust in Registry Mechanic let it be known that in the latest edition of PC Pro Magazine (November 2005) (UK) - Registry Mechanic Version 4 (the Full Monty) is included on the cover DVD.

(please note that if you click "live update" on the RM panel it will prompt you to download a trial of version 5 - if you download and install this it will overwrite your full version 4)

 

ok decided to try Reg Mechanic 4 cover disk - it found 200 problems on scan and presented the first five high priority ones on the screen - i decided to let RM fix them. when i clicked fix it came back and said it had fixed all 200.

i closed RM and then decided to do a quick check just to make sure my system was still working. i doubled clicked on a progam icon on the desk top - nothing happened! - tried another - nothing! - tried the Registry Mechanic icon - nothing!

i was able to start reg mechanic from the progams folder and thankfully the backup restored everything to normal.

i've come to the conclusion that using a registry cleaner is a form of russian roulette. you click the fix button and then wait to see if you still have a system.
