I'm doing well in my pool. I had Ill vs GONEzaga, however I had UNC vs. UK for the final four.

Most people had Duke vs. UNC and Ill. vs. Wake.

So I'm only out one (So far)

Oh and UNC will win the tournament :)

You can't stop the never ending UNC bench.

Maybe. But UK has a deep bench, too. If they show up with their "A" game, they can beat UNC. However, they will have to get by Michigan first. That will be a tough game. Fingers crossed....

You don't see two games like that back to back very often. Wow! How about that Rick Pitino! What a coach. Those Cardinals have lots of heart. ;)

After watching those two games yestarday, I would like anyone to try to convince me there is a more exciting sport than College BB. :D

If UNC plays as terrible as they did against Villanova, then UK will win. However, if both teams are on their "A" games, then WOW... that will be a game...

    Sorry Daze about your loss.

I know it had to be tough, as I'd never seen UK play worse B-ball than they did the 2nd OT, after playing great.

Thanks, Tyler. I've been so distraught I had to go out today and get plastered with my girlfriends instead of my regular Tennis match.

Never should have gone into 2 OT's. No reason to have not gotten a shot off at the end of 1st OT. That's poor performance. And the offense fell apart during the 2nd OT. However, I think our guy was fouled while making that last second 3-pt shot during regulation. Oh well.

    I think I need another drink.... :'( :'(

Evenly matched teams this year. UNC vs Louisville in the finals?

I got UNC vs. Ill. in the final on my work pool, but I think you are right when Louisville will be up against UNC...

I still have my money on the Tarheels.

I actually sat down and watched tonight - mostly because someone else had to write a report on the computer.

    Congratulations to NORTH CAROLINA.

I guess that I just do not have the mindset for team sports. It seems to me that it is the referees who control the game down to the last two or three minutes - and then it becomes a free-for-all. Rules that seemed to be followed up until that time are thrown out the window.

None-the-less, I do have an eye for a well executed play. The very best part just might have been the dog-pile in the middle of the floor following the final buzzer. What a great team! :)

So what is everyone's opinion on the new NBA age limit of 19?

In my opinion, one should either have to graduate college, or simply allow go Pro right out if High School. Why "19"?

Shall we continue this thread for basketball season or start a new one?

Dazed_and_Confused, I think that 19 is too young to be thrown in with all the temptations of the NBA, imho.

I try to follow the college games, particularly the Indiana U Hoosiers. We don't get a lot of their games on the west coast tv feeds. Usually my sister sends me a schedule of their games so I can look for them on ESPN.

One of the highlights of the fall season is the Great Alaskan Shootout, and the UAF basketball teams invites Division 1 teams to play in a tournament, too. You should have seen how happy they were a couple of years ago when UAF won.

    Hello, pamelajoy. :)

The Hoosiers have been struggling lately. Never should have lost their coach to the Texas Tech Red Raiders a few years back. I always enjoyed watching him. I have to say because of him I was pulling for TT last year.

If UK can get their big man cleared by the NCAA to return, they will be a formidable opponent. At least I hope so... :D

My family lives in Southern Indiana, so we usually follow the Kentucky teams as well as the Indiana ones. I really like watching all the Big Ten games, too, such as Iowa and Ohio State. Then there's Duke that's fun to watch, I guess because he used to be an assistant coach at IU. Duke and IU play on November 30. My nephew went to Purdue, so of course, we have to watch those games.

Sure looks that way. I was encouraged when Indiana came close to an upset. Bottom dropped out yesterday. :'(
