Weatherbug or Desktop Weather by Weather Channel?

Hi everyone, I will be leaving out of the country possibly to travel and I want to take my laptop computer with me. I just bought it like 3 days ago, and I am trying to find a good weather program. Weatherbug teamed up with the Homeland Security as I've seen on their website or somewhere... and I feel very safe with it. I also have used Desktop Weather by The Weather Channel before and like it too. But I am trying to find out which program in everyones opinion would be more safer to use, and more reliable to use. I am willing to pay the yearly fee for either, but I'd like some feedback from everyone if I may

To answer your question.
Since I have installed the extension "Forecastfox" of Firefox, I'm not interested anymore in weather softwares.
Forecastfox, gives me just enough weather info about now and 2 days (3 icons) and the weather info is sun, rain, wind, temperature and if I want more, I just click on an icon which directs me to this website :

Firefox directs me of course to the weather of my city, this is just the basic url.

It's hard to find malware-free weather software, like any other kind of freeware and my scanners aren't strong enough to detect a possible infection in the downloaded freeware.
So I ran out of ideas LOL.

If my memory is good, weatherbug is adware, it shows at least adverts.
So weatherbug wouldn't be my choice. The other one I don't know.

i like Konfabulator. it's free now since yahoo bought it, and you have the option to download 100s of other widgets too (like the blue clock and digg widgets).

yes it is very, very easy. i worked it out first time all you do is click download, everything else is done for you. you just have to pick which widgets you want displayed.

hi, Tom. i think i did install it some time last year, but i'm not totally sure (i've reinstalled XP since then). i'm trying to stick with standalone programs at the moment, i'll probably try it out though, thanks.

 

Hi everyone , I settled for Weatherbug. I paid the $20 for a year, and very satisfied with it. I appreciate all your help though, as always.
