LnS for me ... extremely light, does only what a firewall should do, and does it better than any other IMO. :)

Filseclab Personal Firewall Pro works great for me. Extremely light on cpu resources..

I really like Agnitum Outpost Pro. It's relatively light, easy to configure for newbies and has lots of extras for the pros.

  6. JETICO, without doubt. (jetico alone or jetico-antihook when I unable process attack table). I don´t understand why it wasn´t considered here.

Zone Alarm 2.6 user here....but if we are speaking strictly of a packet filter program....all the above mentioned programs are equal in filtering packets.

My vote is for 8Signs Firewall - Very light on resources, rock solid protection - has added feature Tarpit. 8Signs performs what a firewall should do and that is keep the hackers out.

Once was a ZoneLabs user but their software seemed to always have bugs for me..well at least for my system. I'm sure you'll be pleased with Filseclab's Firewall as its GUI/Interface is, if not easier than ZoneAlarm's. :D

Zone Alarm Pro6 for paid, Filseclab for free and CHX for the best SPI but it is for advanced users only.

Pretty tough vote for me. :doubt:

Close call....OutPost Pro I think would have to be it.

I am currently using McAfee on my family machine compliments of Comcast.

Not bad actually much better then I thought it would be. With me however on that one the use history is to short.

Zone Alarm imho has slipped. :(
