Nothing personal, but the correct preposition is at, i.e. at which university, and I learnt that at St. James's Primary School.

Many languages would use a preposition that normally translates as 'on', so it's an understandable mistake, but the same cannot be said for 'in'.

Unless I've been missing something, I've not seen APT v2.1 before. The website still shows v1.9. Even if they aren't new, the fact that they're getting posted more on download sites suggests that DCS is doing something.

Yeah, and dissipating is spelled with only one "P" not two LOL. I learned that in the fourth grade. http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=dissipating
At least Get has an excuse for spelling something wrong because he even said English wasn't his first language.

Meltdown, thanks for the correction. Note to self, when correcting someone make sure that you are careful to be correct yourself.
I even took the time to use an online dictionary to check the spelling of that. When I added the extra "s" I forgot to remove the extra "p."

    Thanks for the snapfiles URL.
If you click the download, you see it grabs it immediately of the DCS site.

Now my first language isn't English either. We always struggle with "of" and "from". I see them both in this context, now i really would like to know which would be correct? My feeling says "from" as we get the d/l from the DCS server, but ... so please help me with this dilemma - thanks!
My spellchecker doesn't include a grammar checker unfortunately!

Well, i stand corrected. As far as i know tds-buyers get a licence for PG or PE for free. Suppose the conditions when you bought it were...."tds-3 ,best antitrojan available, you only pay us once. ps. in case we would ever discontinue tds-3, for whatever reason, you'll get a free licence for PG or PE. How many buyers would then think ..."noooo i'm not buying that under those conditions!"? That's why i wrote my post. Mistakes were made? Yes. Is the overall conclusion: "Were it stands now sucks."? No, i don't think so. (I hope people aren't already sleeping in stead of yawning. In that case..i apologize) (fwiw: in Dutch it's (translated):TO which university and ON which school)

It would properly be "it downloads it from the DCS site", but "it grabs it immediatly off the DCS site" works too :)

    Hi, Jooske

You are correct with saying ready to download from the DCS server, If you were to say ready to download of the DCS server, [wrong] I would think you meant to say ready to download off the DCS server, which would also be correct.

OK. Help me understand this please. I downloaded the app directly from DCS, and got v1.9. I downloaded it from Snapfiles, and got v2.1. Why would DCS not have the most current app available for download directly from their site? o_O What would this indicate (except perhaps poor coordination)?

Thanks a lot for the grammar!

I'll forward the question about the version to the DCS guys immediately.
I am surprised, as the d/l link from that snapfiles site goes to the DCS server it says and i can only suppose due to the DCS site rebuilding some links should be corrected.
Very good that you alert on that.

I looked in the meantime another time in some of the threads over here, the IMPORTANT sticky, the test/demo files and remember the love of creating such scripts, i see the inspired graphic bars and wallpapers -- how could that small company make so many people fall in love with their program -- Aussie style. Fortunately TDS has so many uses still even in the area of security.
You might like to add some nice messages to the tips.txt to have nice new tips of the day (first make a copy just in case!) sublimational messages, whatever you like to add.
The friendly greetings we can't edit ourselves as those are hardcoded in the program.
But with the vbs script idea you can have it play ad random wav files you created yourself so that might inspire you. :)

seems a lot of water has been passed under the bridge but nothing new has come out the other side, not even the apology. good things come along anyway, who knows what will float down the river next now that the attention isn't looking at tds

New stuff is 'just around the corner' as well as a new website so just 'be patient'. :D :D :D

WC, do I detect sarcasm? Surely not. But a word from DCS would be welcome. A short "to do list" even without commit times to show the current focus of the company.

Just remember TDS-4 was "Just around the corner" for years, and look what happened to the TDS line in the end.

I do, we do and it's been said too many times to just keep logging posts about it. DCS will, or will not, communicate their plans.

It's a good time now to just ignore them until they decide to share what's going on in their world.

And if they never do, then we won't have wasted anymore time reading the 'same old' posts, over and over and........

I'm glad someone else finally understands the real issue to be communication, or rather the lack there of.
Jim, I think that is a good idea.

    Hi Jim,

I remember me asking the question whether TDS 4 would be ready by the Bejing Olympics and I wasn't far off was I?

Sarcasm? Me? No never

I think it would be more appropriate to ask DCS not for a to do list but for a definition of their term 'just around the corner' :D :D

Well Dave, that then requires knowing which 'corner', there's so many in this world. On boxes, on streets, in different countries, on televisions, on......

OK, I give up, I can't imagine any more corners right now, add to the list if you will.

It can't be a corner at the North Pole though, everything 'round' up there.

Oh yeah, I remember now, it's "round the corner", does that mean that for all these years I've been ignoring 'round corners'?

Now this was meant to be frivolous humor, I just get that way once in awhile, just to relieve the stress, as they say.

If only 'they' would say what's going on.

OK, I'm gone before I go over the edge,

Best wishes to all, really, all. No exceptions.

Everything can be broken down into triangles of different sizes and shapes
including trapezoids and plain old squares, point is there are many corners in a ball, so which corner are they taking about. Reaching the right corner could take forever.

They could be waiting for the waters to be less choppy to release something.
    We'll just have to wait.

:D who didnt see this mess comeing lol

oh yeah i did months and months algo lol

it stramge tds forume gets more views then most other forums on this bord

    what does that tell you

just on that alone one would think you would keep the populer product around.

makes you wonder whats really going on here.

when it comes down to money and cents where are we.

TDS costs 50 dollers perty expensive more so then most at's

but it comes with a so called lifetime of free updates cut short

the bandwith is more for dowenloading tds and constant updates and there seems to be only two guys on tds

there other products are small and dont need updates just verstion updates and a ocastional database for port explorer

new tds 4 out of speculation was in its final beta form ready to be release or could had been with new features and faster engine rather then release it you get a sob story with basicaly a company stateing there going to take apart the product and resale it to you lol

since they can provably make two to three products out of it means more money for them

lets see you paid 50 already they want to sale you tds 4 in as much as 3 parts scaner guard and smaller at slap a sticker calling it something else other then tds 4

30 x 3 90 + 50 you already got jacked out of if you bought less then a year algo so that comes to 140 easy money

plus you got port explorer worm guard and process guard lol

quit a bit of money gain

im not a lawyer but usealy this practice is done only when a company has been bought out and aquired by a new company

several legal issues come up in the usa that may not apply to galvin and waynes company but i dont know anything about the law there

see here in the usa if you shell out a product promise life time upgrades and updates in order to sale something you are legaly obligated to in less the following happends

the oweners of the prduct die
the owner of the company promising such thing dies
his or her company claims bankruptcy
the company is sold and aquired by another company which usealy subttutes a product to concimplate to the consumer as a pay off

here none of that has hapend and the company is still owend and ran by the same people and the company still has the same name

all it takes is one smart person and there most likely toast but only ifus law applies there

i dont think id trust a copany that does that charges me for a product chop chops it and try to sale it back to me for more money just cause its more convinient for them

Just curious Mr. Blaze. You make a fascinating charge that TDS-4 was in final beta form ready for release. Is this just idle talk for the sake of talk or are you basing this on some fact about which the rest of us have no knowledge?
