    Hi,

    i´ve found a view incompatibilities with Nod32.

    1. Download via rapidshare.de not running. The site isn´t to come up (only with IMon running).
    2. The Game FarCry crashes sometimes (but only when NOD is running).
    3. Sun´s Java will not update. The Updateprocess ends without a message (only with IMon running).

Can you look about this? Thanks!

Rapidshare.de and Java both work fine here with IMON running. I don't have FarCry so I can't check that. it must be some other program/setting interfereing.

Far Cry is my favourite game and have never come across any problems with IMON enabled. However, I must concede I don't play it over LAN/internet.

That´s funny.... All these things not work on my machine. New installed Windows XP SP2, no other firewall or security software.

Rapidshare brings a white windows (statusbar: ready), nothing else. Java (Ver. 5) brings in taskbar the symbol for updates, while downloading the symbol disapears, no other message. And the game crashes with NOD running the machine (no other alternative but reset)....

What shall/can i do with these things?

In the meantime i tried McAfee (Enterprise , Avast (free), Antivir(free) and there aren´t these problems. But i want to use Nod, i bought it and i want to use it. Very curious.....

    1. You could try and put rapidshare.de on your server compability list in IMON:
    IMON > Setup > HTTP > Server Compatibility > type : www.rapidshare.de

    2. No game, not even FarCry has crashed on my pc when NOD was active/running. Try disabling AMON when playing the game.

    3. Try to add the Java updater to IMON's exclusion list:
IMON > Setup > Miscellaneous > Exclusion > Edit, and find the Java update program and add it to the list.

Have never had a problem with Java on my machines, nor any clients machines running NOD32.

I don't recall issues with FarCry when I used to play it either. o_O

I don't know what rapidshare is, but by the sounds of it I'm not going there to look.

Java is running fine, but the update is not possible.

But here on my machine it crashes. Previously i searched the failure on graphics card or other hardware. By chance i hit on NOD. When NOD is off, no crash on Farcry....

Rapidshare is used in many forums to enable a exchange of files. It is no warez-site, so you mean.

    @Brian: Thanks, that helps...

Might just try updating java by getting the latest at Java.com....perhaps something in your current install/version is corrupted or slightly off somehow. When I setup workstations for clients, or I'm onsite, having the latest Java as well as other things is something I do all the time, and most of my clients now run NOD32...so I've done that Java update many many times.

How much memory does your rig have? What graphics card? Latest nVidia or ATI drivers? Any software firewalls? When FarCry crashes, are you playing online, or single player?

Hi, i´m Wolfgang and now registered and logged in.....

You´ve installed the Develpment Kit from Java on all workstations? The version 5 (1.5.xxx)? I don´t mean so. The automatic update runs, when Imon is inactive (or maybe in higher compatibility? I have to try it...). The machine is new installed and not corrupted - this problem was on old setup from this computer and on the new setup, too.

1,25GB RAM, Ati 9600 pro/256MB, latest drivers installed. SIS Chipset, latest drivers installed.

    As i wrote; No.

Single Player, unmotivated anywhere in the game. In other games (UT2004/POP2 sometimes, not that much crashes). Only when NOD is running. First i thought it is the temperature of the system, but it is ok (42° Celsius), but accidentally i found NOD as malefactor.

The problem of Rapidshare (from rapidforum, no warez  ) is ok, when server in compatibility list. But on the other things i´ve to turn of NOD....

Try higher compatability. Looking at my computer right now, "jucheck.exe" is set to "Higher compatability" for both "Microsoft-CryptoAPI/5.131.2195.6926" and "Mozilla/4.0", and I have no problems with the Java update.

Ahh...Development Kit...I didn't see that specified...I thought you mean just the basic Java client.

I have often seen some hiccups with SiS chipsets. When I played FarCry, that was over a year ago, back with NOD32 version 2.something earlier...haven't played FarCry since it went 2.5X, playing BF2 all the time now.

A lot of people will generally shut down antivirus real time protection when gaming though. Just remember to turn it back on when done.
