I am most definitely interested in this thread ;)
Well, after more than 17 hours online today my brain isn't working exactly right ;)
Are you really sure that it is the Windows Firewall (XP-SP2) that is the cullprit here?

Hi FanJ, nearly 100% sure. Running Sygate 5.5 on the same machine now and having no problems and had no problems with BoClean when I dropped MS Firewall either before that.

The one thing that is strange it was unique to that machine...(Aug. 13 post).

Short for File Transfer Protocol, the protocol for exchanging files over the Internet. FTP works in the same way as HTTP for transferring Web pages from a server to a user's browser and SMTP for transferring electronic mail across the Internet in that, like these technologies, FTP uses the Internet's TCP/IP protocols to enable data transfer. http://www.webopedia.com/TERM/F/FTP.html
