I been cleaning my registry of old deleted programs. Don't know if I should continue, but so far everything still works.

Here's were I been working at.

    Clean
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared Tools\MSConfig\startupreg\[removed program]
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\[Removed Program]
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\[Removed Program]

I'll be increasing that list as I find more.

Hm well if you're inexperienced or a bit nervous about picking out the entries yourself you might try EasyCleaner. I've always just cleaned all the registry entries it found to be dead (on my 3 machines and several others) without ever having a problem so far.

    Thanks for the link.

I don't understand this much, but I think regedit could of been organized better. One recommendation is to separate windows and it utilities from the programs that are added in to the system. Furthermore, to seperate programs within the program section from each other. Maybe this is done automaticly or during installation of the program. If it were like that, I could search out old programs and make sure they have gone for good.

I haven't used regedit myself so I can't comment much - but I hope you get things sorted; maybe EasyCleaner is the one for you (at this time anyway).

Let us know if you run in to any problems!
