    Hey guys/gals,

I just downloaded Opera today for kicks. I have not tried it in quite some time. It seems rather nice. I was curious if any of you have any advice or tips on...

    *Securing it.
    *Speeding it up ala FF
*Setting up the tabbed favorites like FF
*Adblocking capabilities (like Adblock does for FF)

Also, are there any discounts available for the full version besides the student one?

    Thanks as always,

    Jag

    *Securing it.
It's already the most secure browser.
    *Speeding it up ala FF
    It's already the fastest browser.
*Setting up the tabbed favorites like FF
Drag and drop links and folders to the personal bar.
*Adblocking capabilities (like Adblock does for FF)
Nothing as good as Adblock for FF. :(
Use Admuncher or take a look at this:

I thought there was tweaks to make it faster? I honestly think that FF is still faster, at least on my system.

    Thanks for the link. :)

If you go to Tools\Preferences\Advanced\Browsing. In the "Loading" drop down menu try the "redraw instantly" setting. I think the default setting is to redraw after 1 second. To the eye, a page appears to load more quickly although in reality I suppose the time taken to load a whole page is the same. If you don't like the setting just change it back.

Some custom buttons http://nontroppo.org/wiki/CustomButtons The InIE and InFF buttons are handy as they will open the page you are on in IE or Firefox.
