RegDefend v2.000 Screenshot

Here is a screenshot from the latest build of RegDefend. It is using a color theme which is probably going to be updated a little before release, remember it is only one color theme of a few available. Some parts of the GUI shown are going to change before release also.

The GUI has been redesigned to be easier to use, by hiding options not frequently used, and to show more useful information to the user. There is quite a lot changed, and hopefully you will all be able to see the changes soon.

 

Hmm more screenshots please. This one alone doesn't tell me much about what has changed.

The main tab seems mostly useless for information.

Hmm why is there a purchase components option, when it's already registered?

Can we pay more for other components?

I also wonder what is the purchase components options is? What are the other components to be?

Good catch with the word 'suite'. Togther with the 'purchase component' button it looks like Jason is adding new programs to start a rival HIPS suite.

Looks like it's the central program, holding various components, of which Regdefend is the first one.

A bridge for all the other future programs so to speak. I hope there is an announcement soon about future programs.

Jason (or any other mod). If I buy regdefend now (which i was just about to do - it will sit nicely with PG), will I be entitled to a free upgrade to ver 2 when its released (as it seems close now)?

For the near future this will still be the case. Anyone who buys RegDefend now is entitled to life-time free upgrades.

 

It is nice to see that some developers are hard at work building better programs. I can't wait to use the new version. I also will probably buy future add-ons to the suite especially if Jason does like he usually does and builds software that is better and with lighter footprint than the others.

tell me what will this prog do for me.

that my RegRunG is & has been doing now what more
will this do that i don't get with RRG

anyone at all, can i run this prog along side RRG is this
a good idea or will it be to much.

Hi AAplus2, I think that regrun is a poller i.e. see the change after it has occurred which can often be too late with the latest threats, whereas RegDefend blocks any changes and alerts you.
Also with RegDefend you can configure new rules for new threats.
Already there are many contributions to those rules from expert malware fighters. The additional rules can be easily added to your current configuration without any registry knowledge. A real bonus

I am sure that Jason and his team will add even more value in version 2

I have made a ghost file (ruleset) that will monitor all the keys that RegRunG does plus more. It is available in this post in this thread Tested Ghost Groups .gst.

There are several of us that run RegDefend right along side RegRunG with no problems whatsoever. I consider it a good idea to run both and I do not think it is too much. I do as I love both programs ...

Yes, when running there will be an icon in SysTray. This is the GUI portion that will alert you when necessary for user input and allows you to configure RD.

When you install, it will automatically configure itself to start with Windows.

That is simply the version number of Ghost Security Suite, which has been built "brand new", which is why it hasn't quite reached v1.000 yet. When it does it will be released. Ghost Security Suite isn't a "security program", it is simply a container for things like RegDefend.

 

It will be interesting to see all of the products that go in the container. You have already developed a reputation with many for innovating, so it will be interesting to see your new innovations.
