Try pinging the servers when you can't connect to a site.

Pinging www.eset.com [195.12.128.61] with 32 bytes of data:

    Ping statistics for 195.12.128.61:

    The servers are unavailable.

when i saw the title of this thread i thought the question 'is eset down?' was referring to the fact that there has been no update since 22nd july. funny watching KAV update hourly all over the weekend and nothing from eset...were there no real threats to tackle over the weekend?

but 'zero hour protection!' i hear you cry, but 'advanced heurstics!', yes, yes, but that probably wont help them much in the on demand scan tests that will be taking place next month.

Hafta say you'll be quite suprised - take it for granted.
Don't think that we're shaking here our balls at work - out of your post i can read that you would be quite happy if we land there on the last place - sorry to disappoint you, but this will for sure not happen :D

i wouldnt be happy if nod32 was to come last, or even in the lower end of the table, as i am a nod32 user.
i would like to see nod32 higher than it usually is in these on demand tests, seeing KAV/McAfee at the top everytimge is like lance armstrong winning the tour de france time after time, gets boring after a while.
nod32 is unlikely to beat KAV in this sort of test, but i hope the difference between the two is a lot smaller than usual
