TDS-4 is due in mid-2002. Oh, wait, that's what they said a year and a half ago. :D

    Hi everyone,

Sorry for the delays, the improvements will be countless. TDS-4 database format, scan engines, and everything else are being improved many times over.

I have been working on some serious additions, having seen the way trojan infections are going. There is still a lot of programming to do for the additions to be realised. Things you have seen in Port Explorer are obvious additions - hidden socket highlighting for example. Process to port mapping will be included in the newer netstat utility.

Trojans are becoming more technical, and using much better stealth methods. For future protection, it is much better for us to concentrate on having some more (extremely advanced) detection and removal methods. TDS-4 series of products will have some capabilities I cant speak of now, that in my mind are essential for upcoming trojan detection and removal. We continue to research and perfect these ideas and won't release anything until it can do what we and you the users need :)

:DLOL You sure your not the president clintion hmmmmmmmmm

see we all know here that TDS 4 will be the bomb you dont have to tell us or explaine we just know

but what we really want to know is simple a real time frame i dont care if its 6 months from now which im beting hey that gives me an ideal or a year from now we just like to get a genral about time frame

if it still dont happend just say your adding something really cool and that it probably a few more monts no bigy

whats killing us is cryptic talk so much so that its like uhhhhhhhh oh well

we know it will be real great proably nothing fancy in interface but most likely built like a tank lol

IMO, getting a "time frame" would be nearly useless. Look at the previous timeframe which was given--"mid-2002" (I didn't make that up in my earlier post).

This is because when you are developing software, things come up. Priorities shift, support issues must be dealt with, unforseeable problems arise, new exploits must be addressed, technologies change, people go on vacations (well, maybe), weird OS issues crop up, Microsoft issues a new patch or service pack which breaks months of hard work, and so on, ad nauseum.

I got the "mid-2002" quote just the other day when I installed TDS-3. The setup routine told me to look forward to TDS-4, and that it was due in "mid-2002". No offense meant by the mention of this... And my explanation above is why.
