Having been 'bitten' by build 859, and reverted to 826, I'd welcome opinions on whether it's build 889 is worth upgrading to.

    Thanks.

Like you I reverted to 826 but I'm with 889 now and recently "proved" it when restoring my "C" drive after a problem.
I have no issues with speed, mounting, scheduling, creating images or restoring images - I have not used the clone facility.

I'm the guy with the wireless mouse problem - only when using the rescue disk, not in any other software. Acronis is already working with me to find a solution. They are really outstanding in how fast they respond to service problems.

Meanwhile, I have been re-thinking exactly when TU's rescue disks stopped letting me use my wireless mouse. The mouse's cursor doesn't even show on the rescue screen. It was when I added a wireless keyboard to my set-up, and began using the keyboard's receiver for my mouse too. For fun, I reconnected my old wired keyboard, and the original wireless mouse's receiver. Fantastic! Mouse function is back within the rescue program!

So, as Acronis asked, I've sent them these details and related sysinfo.txt files. I'm hoping they can find a work-around. I'd really prefer that both my keyboard & mouse be wireless.

    Hello Charlie,

We will certainly try to help. However, it is good to know that in emergency case you will be able to restore the image you have without problems.

    Thank you.

    Hello pszilard,

Yes, the problem with the mounter has been fixed in the 889 build. We recommend you to update your copy of Acronis True Image 8.0 to the 889 build. In order to get access to updates you should register account on our site (or just log in if you have already created it) and then register your copy of the product.

    Thank you.
