    I'm not sure if it was a coincidence, but I got the German rc files shortly after you posted the last message here. It will still need some polishing, but it shouldn't take long for the final version to be released.

    Hey Marcos, great to hear. Whre will we find then the Link to the german release first ? On the ESET Homepage or the Datsec Homepage ?

    I will not wait for an german Component Update. I will get an fresh Download, because at the moment i'm using the english Version.

    What do you mean, how long you will need to post the Download Link ?

    What does it mean still polishing ?

    I thought, they are only doeing the translations ? So, they got from ESET the newest Version for translation, an now it need to be polished ?

    I do not understand that.

    Ok ok. But that's the jumping point of my missunderstanding.

    The german get an perfect working, based on the newest Build Version from ESET, only to translate it as Marcos said.

    Yes, but it could be that when the German translation is entered in the program, some dialogs are not properly displayed etc. I guess/hope ESET checks this before shipping the translated version :)

    I am German too. But I always used the english version of NOD32... and other software as well (Spamkiller etc.)

    Its is absolutly normal that a software releases first in english.. and only weeks or months after in other languages.

    English is the language #1 in the world. And I guess it will never change that user have to wait for a language - update of their software. Never mind which software it is. NOD32 not excluded!

    So I can only advise you.. Download the english version.. and you are always up2date. :D

    sorry for this clear words, I've tried to hold back, but I can't:

    @eisefr
    this completly imbecility!
    I bought a german software, and not an english.
    I've no problems with english software, but don't forget that You are not the only people on the world, there many others that don't speak english, and they also want some software in their language!
    And other software-companies can manage it well to release other language version in time.

    @all others
    don't be excited ;-) I've read that marcos is already working on the german version.
    I' ll wait until the cake is cooked well and than I'll taste the wellcooked cake

    Yes, i think so too as you piktor. I think, there are a lot of paying, german speaking customers.

    We all know, the development of NOD32 is only made by ESET. ( Thanks God ).

    But, they give, as i know, an very well Build only for translation to the germans, it's unbelieveable, they need near two months for doing this.

    You are right, a lot of other companies are working together with their, for example, german partners. This includes the times during development and cooking. I do not know, if ESET will do it the same way.

    But it's fact: The german translations seems to need very much time.

    I'm now, as a german paying customer, using the english version since it was pushed out. But, there are a lot of things, i do not really understand, because it's in english.

    So, i hope we will get the Link for downloading the german Version as soon as possible.

    While you are waiting patiently, if there is anything that we can assist you in, please ask. As well Happy Bytes is a German so if need be I’m sure he would be happy to translate…

    Cheers :D

    Hi Blackspear, thanks a lot. I've read anywhere, Happy Bytes speaks german.

    But, at first i will learn by myself, before asking maybe some stupid questions. So, If there's any special question, i will ask. :p

    The reason, we are a little bit frustrated, or said better irritated is the fact, that the english version was out since a lot of weeks and the other languages need so long, especially the german. We're all paying customers, including the germans.

    The other point is, this here is the only place for the germans too, getting some really good informations about NOD32. There no other place for example the german customers. No german Forum too.

    However, i find the last post of eisefr very egoistic. ESET will sale their Software into the whole world. So, they should realize that all their customers had the chance be up to date everytime and everywhere just in time. :D

    nods shamed :D

    @Blackspear
    well the problem is not, that I don't understand english.
    my family uses one computer, with w2k and different user-accounts.
    And if a window pops up in english they are disconcerted what to do, because of their english is quite bad. As I'm not always in sew to ask what this popup means, I'm so interessted in german version.

    I fully understand, but equally so, no one would be pleased to have a half finished version released...

    with this You' re 100% right!!!

    I'm not horny of new features and asking now when V3 will be ready *gggg*

    But V2.5 is now ready since 8 weeks, and I have just a problem to understand, that it takes such a long time to translate a program.
    Others (like Agnitum with Outpost) releases all languages at the same time.

    Ok....perhaps something is amiss in translation....perhaps not. In any case.... let's do keep it respectable as we ramble on about the soon to be released German version :ninja:
