Hello everybody. I can see, a lot of other User were asking an d waiting for an Release in their language. I only could find two different language packages, english and czech.

I'm very surprised about that fact, cause the final 2.50.19 was out now for 2 or three weeks.

And I can see, there is a german trial Version avaible, i think it based on the newest 2.50.19, but why is there only a german trial and no german Final ?

I cannot understand, it seems, as ESET do not love there german Users :D

Give us please a info, what's about the other languages packages.

I think, there a a lot of german Users which were waiting, because they pay for their german Software Version and maybe do not speak so good english, that they understand the new NOD 32.

Yeah, i know, it's discussed, but that help me not really. I think, it's not really fair for the other language speaking customers, that they now wait since a few weeks, and nothing happens.

If they are having issues with English and Slovak they aren't going to bring out further languages just to add to this. There is a new version being worked on currently, and when Eset get it right then they will work on other language packs.

    Cheers :D

sorry for my BabelFish Translation. ;)

Unfortunately I wait already for a long time
for the German version. Since that there are 11.05.05 NOD32 Ver.2.5.
and since 2 weeks for instance Ver.2.50.25

As it makes the impression, user is not those English speaks
rather probably only buyers of inferior quality.

Which for Kaspersky appears very easy (multilinguare version) is
    apparent too heavy for Eset.

With the next license update of NOD32 I will remember as a German user
    of inferior quality.

@Blackspear, Thanks for the Info. :)

I white a translation much work makes. But so a long time is not
acceptable. A Photoshop CS z.b. was much rather translated. :(

    I agree with terraner!

I seems to me, that this a evidence of incapacity!

sorry for this clear words, but nearly 8 weeks is a very long time!
If Eset isn't interessed in other language users, they should say this!
But I pay not the same price as others and be treated as a second class user!

    Hello ronjor,

I'll hope You have read that this post of Marcos is about 2,5 weeks old and nothing happend!

I have no problems if a software is not ready and will get free of bugs. And it is, as it is often told: the cake is ready, when it is cooked well.

OK, now the cake is cooekd well since nearly 8 weeks and nothing happens about other languages. At least to an outstanding like me.

NOD32 is still the first choice to me, but I can't understand the firm politics of Eset! And any time my discontent will get to that point, that NOD32 is no more my first choice! This is no threat, but this is how a opinion grows. A product is today more than just the real product, service matters as well. In in this case of other languages I can't see any service.

Don't see my words as only frustrated, see it as an impression of an user.

I understand your frustration. It does seem to me translating a program into many different languages will take some time though.
Maybe an Eset rep can give us a better timeline. :)

    Hello Ronjor,

yep I understand that translating will take some time. But in this case we don't talk about text processing with some new features, we talk about a security program. And in this case the new feature are not only interesting, they are important.
Every day the security in the web becomes more important and a security program should be up-to-date. So this is one of the fundamental characteristics of a security program. And at the moment NOD32 in german ist not up-to-date!

I know that this is a degree migration, and so I talk only about the difference between the actual englisch version to the actual german version!

I know that You can't help me, but I think Eset should take notice of this topic. As it was already told, other software-companies can manage this!

Yes, that's absolutely right. Cause the german pays for their up to date security programm too.

So, latest at the point, NOD 32 Final was ready, the german can start the translation. Because the germans only translate a final programm they get from ESET. The germans do not fix anything or give the Programm any new features. So, I do not understand too, why they need so long give the germans the same feelings and rights of security as the Czech, Polish and Russian Customers.

I instandly hope, next time, the germans were one of the first Customers getting the next Generation of NOD 32. ( Upgrade ).

NOD32 2.5 protects you the same way as NOD32 2.12.x, except that it can recognize certain threats generically, whereas 2.12.x would detect them as probable NewHeur_PE viruses. In terms of security, there's actually nothing missing in v. 2.12.x which would make it worse than v. 2.5.

Release of the German version depends fully on the German translator.

Hi Marcos, thanks for immediately reply.

Who exactly is the german Translator ? Is it Datsec ?

I mean, they hear directly from ESET as the earliest of all german, that there was a new Final ready.

I cannot believe, that they will start at this point with translating. I Think, ESET and for example the germans too will sit in the same boat. So, starting translating is possible much more earlier as the final will push out from ESET.

Because, the germans are only the translators, not the Developers, right ?

So, Don't see my words as only frustrated, see it as an impression of an user too.

Right, DATSEC is the one who handles German translation. I'll need to get in touch with them next week and ask about the current status.

So, look at their Homepage, they are often not up to date with information to their customers. I Think, this is one problem too. Look at the sites of other ESET Partners. You will see, there often were big differences between them.

Your english speaking people have their newest Version a the first. The english speaking Customers have really a great place talking about NOD 32 with other User here at Wilders.

I'm sure, you understand what i mean. If someone do not use the english language, because he do not speak it, so, how big is the chance getting good informations or hear about other meanings from others Users of NOD etc. ? No german Forum, no german Informations.

    Hello Marcos,

    just my view:
I think Eset is the manufacturer of NOD32 and not DATSEC or anyone else.

So in my opinion Eset is responsibly for updates, independently who is working for Eset in the background.
If the partners of Eset are not reliably, it is the name of Eset that gets bad headlines. I think You should keep this in mind!

And although everything has been said: nearly 8 weeks for a translations is much to long!

The ONLY people aware that there is a NEW version of Nod32 are here in this forum, or those that try to download a fresh copy of Nod32 from the website. The majority of customers using other languages will be blissfully unaware until their version goes to auto-update when, and only when their languages have been translated.

    Cheers

    Blackspear.
