Hi, I have just got a question about the preferences of TDS-3. When I right-click on a file, it gives me the option of scanning it with TDS-3. I already have a primary AV (Panda), and I wish to remove TDS-3 from this menu, however I could not find anything in the preferences. Does anyone know how I could do this? Thanks for any help!
Hello there click, and welcome! Is there a problem of having the option in your menu? It doesn't eat resources, you are not obliged to use it, you can use it if you want to have your first or second opinion. Certainly with questionable files i would scan with everything available on the system. I'm not all sure about the items in the rightclick menu, you might have to change that in the registry.
Correct me if I am wrong but is Panda not primarily AV? I agree with Jooske and think it's a good idea to have the added option to scan with a specialised AT program if you come a suspicious file
Gavin ever posted a link to a file on the DiamondCS sites to remove the right-click scan option from the windows explorer menu, but i don't see it, nor do i remember if it was for all file-types or only for right-click scanning of executables. With using that little file it was not necessary to go digging into the registry yourself as the file removes those scan options.
I downloaded a trial version of TDS-3 and trying to update it and it is telling me that update.cfg file has not been found i tryed the link for it but still can not find it could somebody please tell me where to find it. Thanks very much
Hi trojansoutmy*!!, The file update.cfg is in your TDS-3 directory. For updating the trial version please read this page: http://tds.diamondcs.com.au/index.php?page=update Enjoy your TDS-3 ! Cheers, Jan.
