SpywareGuard Resource Usage

Hi all,

I've been using SpywareGuard for some time now and recently put it on another PC, but it seems to run somewhat differently.

CPU usage often goes to 100% and mem usage does seem a bit extreme also (see attached).

Any idea what's causing this?

Also, SpywareBlaster takes nearly 5 minutes to enable protection and to populate the lists?

Is there a know software conflict somewhere?

What other Security\Privacy programs are you using....in particular those programs that have features that monitor certain registry keys for changes....Microsoft Anti-Spyware's Real Time protection, Spybot's TeaTimer....etc. If any\all of the programs mentioned are being used....there is definetly a possibility they are fighting for the same turf and SpywareGuard might exhibit this condition.

As for Spywareblaster and the long length of time to load and populate....I'll await your answer concerning the programs you use in case one of them could be causing this.

 

On the machine in question, I'm also running:

SpywareBlaster
Spybot S&D with TeaTimer

But on another machine, I run exactly the same configuration, but with Microsoft Anti-Spyware also and it all runs together flawlessly.

This is why I'm so confused.
