i was looking up lyrics for the song and artist thread and found this site. it has misheard lyrics on it.

The Beatles', "A Hard Day's Night"
    Misheard Lyrics:
And when I get home to you, I find a broken canoe.
    Correct Lyrics:
And when I get home to you, I find the things that you do. :D

    Groove Armada's, "At The River"
    Misheard Lyrics:
If you're fond of sad dudes and salty air
Crazed little fingers just here and there
    Correct Lyrics:
If you're fond of sand dunes and salty air
Quaint little villages here and there :D :D

Slightly off-topic, but in line with the "misheard" idea ...

By way of background, ages ago I spent about 7 years in patent work from both sides of the fence, for the U.S. Patent Office and later for patent attorneys.

Patent claims, which are the legal "heart" of a patent, are worded as broadly as possible. They almost invariably include "... means to [accomplish whatever function] ..." rather than actual structure, so that any structure doing the function is covered by the claim.

Standard practice in our office at the time was to dictate into recording machines for our secretarial staff. One application I was working on, I included in the claims " ... bearing means to avoid undue wear ...".

    It came back, neatly typed:
    "Baring" means to avoid underwear.

    :D

    Song: Blinded by the Light
    Artist: Manfred Mann's Earth Band

    The real lyrics were:
    Revved up like a deuce
    Another runner in the night

    But I misheard them as:
    Recked up like a douche
    Another roner in the night

    Song: I Get Around
    Artist: Beach Boys

    The real lyrics were:
I'm a real cool head. I'm making real good bread.

    But I misheard them as:
    ?

I always thought they were singing "Reverend Bluejeans", when they were saying "forever in blue jeans".

Alot of people get the lyrics wrong, that's what makes it all fun!

    I always heard that as:
    Wracked up like a douche
    Another rumor in the night

    But, we are close. ;)
