Why such large variation in price re downloading/+buying Acronis True Image 8.0?

There is nothing wrong with having a difference of opinion, but where it is wrong is how that difference of opinion is express, and insulting another person because they're opinion differs from your's, is not acceptable. What you may view as 'constructive critism', another may view as insulting.

My facts are quite straight. Please re-read this thread. Your first post in this thread (#7) had nothing to do with the topic, instead you insult a member by suggesting, without any facts, that they were using a 'bootleg' copy.

At this point Moderator (Detox) has posted a reminder to keep personal comments/remarks out of this thread. That was the first reminder.

Then again you make another off-topic post direct at zoril with more insults. That post I removed, and posted a 2nd reminder.

No need to review other threads...it's this one we are talking about.

I do believe you owe zoril an apology, along with the other members participating in this thread, for taking it off-topic. We do have the PM and email available and no need to continue with off-topic discussions here.

I do apologize to all other participants for the off-topic direction my participation in this thread has taken.

I did not interpret Detox's message as a warning to me. Before his post, I posted a legitimate question with no intention of insulting zoril or straying from the thread topic. It was zoril who had attacked me and I interpreted Detox's message as a clear warning to zoril for his insulting attack on me. As you will see, I did not respond directly to his personal insults at that time.

You and I see that sequence of exchanges quite differently.

In any event event, I do not offer an apology to zoril. I stand by my words to him.

Nor, will I continue to participate further in this forum until you offer me an apology for making a public spectacle out of an incident which should have been handled through private messages.

You, of all participants, should have recognized the appropriateness of that option.

 

That is unfortunate. But as we do see the exchange differently, you can expect no apology either.

iflyprivate - you did choose to make insulting comments towards another member, in two separate posts in fact. One being made again directly after a Moderator asked everyone to refrain from making personal comments/remarks. You can call them 'constructive criticisms' if you like, we see them quite differently.

You also chose to make a public post in this thread questioning my decision, to which you very well knew I would have to respond in kind. Only after you made your post did you then choose to take it to PM.

When a thread goes off-topic and posts have to be edited or removed, we will continue to make a reply in the thread with a warning to stay on-topic. If you do not like the way we moderate our board, then by all means find another one you'd feel more comfortable at.

Finally, since this thread has indeed gone off-topic and two reminders have already been posted, and ignored. This thread is now closed.
