After 6 hours of battling with Bart PE Builder (bunch of problems in it), 11 burned CDs and nVidia RAID drivers I finally came up with BartPE ISO image and my nVidia RAID was restored in 8 minutes!

    Hehe - I did it!

    Hello mnemonik23,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

The problem with NVRAID was also resolved in Acronis Bootable Media. NVidia has given us the important information and drivers and the next build of Acronis True Image will be able to work with NVRAID in all RAID modes.

    Thank you.

    Hello Geed,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

We can't give you the exact date of the new build release but we assure you that it'll become available in the nearest future. We would be grateful if you waited a bit for it to be released.

    Thank you.

if the problem with nvidia has been fixed by acronis it would be the first backupsoftware i know, that would work with nvraid. so they should hurry up with the release before others like norton offers the same. when do the webmasters of acronis plan to upload the new build to their download-page?

Somehow I do not see Symantec rushing to update Ghost 9 to work with nvraid.

Can I get the updated version somewhere? I read about it somewhere. I was able to recover an image without an updated version, but only with a working WinXP (which, in case, is not why I got a bootable backup software).

This is somewhat inaccurate. Please be aware that RAID1+0 (stripe-mirror) is not currently supported by TrueImage 9.0. Acronis Support have advised me as follows, after I enquired as to why my RAID1+0 array showed up for 'restore' as 4 separate drives:

"The current version of Acronis True Image 9.0 does not support NVraid 1+0, this will be certainly implemented in future. We're sorry for your inconvenience."

During my dealings with Acronis Support - who were helpful and quick to respond - it appears that this may be a limitation in the Adaptec md driver 0.90.0 for Linux. This driver seems to be used by boot media created by True Image 9.0 to handle NVRAID arrays. Unfortunately I've not found a later version to try and implement myself as a workaround .

    I hope this helps.
