is the latest version of nod32 2.5 compatible with new win x64? if not when will it be released the new 64-bit version?
No, the current version is only for 32-bit OS. This has been discussed several times before, please use the search function mor more replies.
I believe Marcos stated there would be a 64 bit version. I pretty sure not many are using 64 bit Windows yet. You can bet they are working on it.
I just noticed on the nod32 web page that a beta version for x64 is now available. See link http://www.esetsoftware.com/download/downbeta.htm
nice, a beta version allready! now i can really install win x64. i was waiting for nod32 to give us a new 64bit version! go nod32 go
Give them time - it's a beta Reality is with AMON correctly configured and operating files will be scanned on access - IMON does take this one step further by intervening ahead of this preventing the download in the first place, but it's not as though you're unprotecteted is it?
it works great! i'm running the rtm version of x64 xp pro, and nod is "in the tray" finally. it shows up as a 32bit process in taskmanager, but all "mons" appear to be happy. at PlanetAMD64, http://www.planetamd64.com/index.php?act=portal many would like to see an open trial of the beta. thanks again eset, i will be purchasing two more license very soon! if you haven't already, please join the planetamd64 forums, you would be suprised how many of us are using x64 windows and linux! we also have a well rounded driver and application download section.
