    Hi Sonya-

Its Probably normal...I don't know if the download came with an installer. If it is Just the actual filter (plugin) then you need to put it in the plug-in folder in Photoshop. Something Like, C:\program files\adobe\photoshop 7.0\Plugins.

Then to use the plugin, you start photoshop and then go the the menu bar and click "filters". Since it is new, it will probably be at the bottom of the list of filters. click the filter name and it starts.

you should have your image already opened and selected before you click filter, so it knows what to filter on.

words of caution: very often you have to be in RGB color mode (you probably are unless black and white) second, some filters act on a layer and wont work on background. if that is the case its no problem, and me or somebody will tell you how to convert it to a layer.

Lastly...I like fixing photo's! if you have an especially bad one, you can send it to me! No guaranties, of course, but I will try!

    Thanks handsoff!
Ok, so then it is a plugin? Thats what I did wrong then. I thought it was an entire program all it's own, LOL
Ok I will try some things myself first. Then if later tonight, or sometime tomorow if I have no luck, I may let you try to fix them. There isn't alot that's messed up. Not the whole roll of film. It is only like 5 or 6 pictures that need fixing. I will PM you by tomorrow, if that's ok, and find out where you want me to send them. Or I could put them here. **off to get the plugin** LOL
    Thanks
    Sonya

Nice them Uguel. Congrats too on those marvellous globes, I really love #1012.
Well done Sonya on your first try. Keep practising to get the hang of it. :)
Thanks HandsOff, glad you're really improving on those icons. Great icons btw. Like the way you can create those icons, so I surely will take a look at this program. Want to try it out on those Palm icons (30 x 30 - or even less) to copy it into Constructor. :D
Great pictures. Dreamy view achieved with that Gaussian blur.

Thanks Ronjor & bigC for the appreciation. We'll surely keep going. :D ;)

    Hey, thanks. ;)
They are simple but that is the nature of country life.

Yes, I did but with Photo Filtre. The icons look good if you stick to 32x32 only.
The final result is neat but there is no drop-shadow option. :doubt:

    ....that sounds good. :)

and the edges look less sharp cutten.

Wow, it is a very nice pic. :)
What a cute li'l girl too! What program or filter did you use for that one?

Indeed, Marja, BeetleBoss & Sonya are really improving by the day.
I like it, you applied a plastic wrap filter? Lovely daughter & dog too. :)
Yeah, great show from BB. Can't wait to see the rest of it. :D
You created a beautiful picture and the same applies to your second.
    Really well done Marja. :D
I've taken a look, but I already have something similar.
Thanks anyway for the tip. ;)
btw Did you download the extras of Virtual Photographer too?

Well folks, sorry for the delay.
Didn't have much time lately with my eldest being sick again, as well as performing all those tests.

Here's my first try. I saw all his movies during my youth. :)

Very nice Marja. :) Yes, it counts as a country picture.
It is old and picturesque mill so cowboys could stop by to
    cool their horses. :D

There are a lot of country tubes on the Net but not specifically
western ones. So we got to think of "country" in a broad way.
Rural life, farming or countryside are just fine! ;)

Yes, it is possible to bring out the pictures. ;)
Some are easy to correct but some can be more
difficult for we have to "cheat" sometimes to get rid
    of unwanted parts....

I will tell you about the easy ways.....

There are many ways and many programs to fix a photo.
I do not know them all but this is what I usually do.
I open my pic in Paint Shop Pro and if there are any corrections
to be made, I go to the menu>Adjust>then I click on "One Step Photo fix". The picture will be automatically corrected. If I like the change, I will save it, if I do not like the change, I will hit "undo" and try the other settings that can be found in the Adjust drop menu. See screenshot.

Another program I like to correct a picture is Picasa.
It is a freeware and is very simple to use. You can download
    on this page.....

    Picasa

When I want to adjust a picture in Picasa, I just select it,
double-click on it then the pic will open enlarged then I hit
"I'm feeling Lucky" button...this usually solve many problems. ;)
    See screenshot.

Thanks Uguel, but that's the way it goes with young children.
Two weeks healthy and the next sick again after going to school. :doubt:
I liked it too and besides I love horses. :D
You or others didn't recognize the person in the picture? Quiztime :p ;)

    Marja, and Handsoff,
I got the Virtual Photographer to work! I really like that one. It is really neat ! I love the antique setting!
Anyway, Handsoff, I still have had NO luck with the picures, but I am going to give these others a try now. I will let you know. Thanks!

Uguel, I don't see a "one step photo fix" on mine. I checked all the > (fly off) menu.
Do you think the PSP 8 has it?
I want to get that sun glare off my mom ! :D :D

Go to View > Toolbars and highlight Photo to activate this toolbar (or you can also right click on any toolbar to see these options). ;)

Edit: Hey, I don't see that in your menu. o_O

Right, I can see from your screenshot that PSP8 doesn't have it.... :doubt:
You might try with Picasa or send it here and maybe HandsOff
or one of us might give a try at it. ;)

Uguel, It is actually a very good tool! It fixed it up for me. There is just a bit of glare left though. I am going to use Picasa now. I will let you all know if I need help.

    Glad to hear that. :)

Hey, I tried the same globe tutorial you did
a couple of days ago and it work pretty good
but haven't you noticed that the globe (or round part) becomes
a little flatten on the sides after resizing it? o_O
