    Hi,

using the above mentioned version of TI I'm unable to restore from the emergency boot cd because my harddisk attached to a nForce4 S-ATA controller isn't recognized by TI. Is there any work-around for this problem?

BTW: This version of TI was distributed by a german computer magazine not that long ago, so I don't want to hear that this version is outdated and I should upgrade to TI 8.0. I expect that this version supports all standard hardware available at the point of time of issueing of the magazine.

    Thank you for your help!

    Bye,

    Hello Jan,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

The personal version is intended to let cutomers get acquainted with Acronis True Image. However, Acronis True Image 7.0 is really old version is not supported any longer. As a result of long discussion with NVidia we are now glad to tell you that the latest build of Acronis True Image 8.0 does support NForce 4 chipset. Since you have already got previous version you may purchase the upgrade to Acronis True Image 8.0 at our on-line store that is much cheaper than the original version of Acronis True Image 8.0.

    Thank you.

It'll be Acronis fault that the version on the mag was out of date then??

I've used the version i got free as a test version and now have the trial of version 8. The old version didn't work with my NVidia nForce 4 SATA controller either - i can confirm that version 8 does and i'll be buying TI soon.....

I don't think that the magazine sold this version without an agreement with Acronis. So Acronis could have stopped the distribution of an outdated version which was sold as part of the magazine. And this version is not a test version, it covers all my needs an a standard ATA system, and it's also labeled as a "full version".
