RegDefend and Internet Explorer protection?

Does Regdefend protect against the following for internet explorer:
- IE BHO
- IE Toolbar
- IE Searching
- IE Homepage
- IE Extensions

The default groups that come with RegDefend protect these entries:

hkey_current_user\software\microsoft\internet explorer\menuext | * | Value

hkey_current_user\software\policies\microsoft\internet explorer\control panel* | * | Key + Value

hkey_current_user\software\policies\microsoft\internet explorer\restrictions* | * | Key + Value

hkey_local_machine\software\microsoft\internet explorer\extensions | * | None

hkey_local_machine\software\microsoft\internet explorer\main | Start Page | None

hkey_local_machine\software\microsoft\internet explorer\toolbar | * | Value

hkey_local_machine\software\policies\microsoft\internet explorer\control panel* | * | Key + Value

hkey_local_machine\software\policies\microsoft\internet explorer\restrictions* | * | Key + Value



However it is very easy to add your own entries to protect. So if you wanted to protect those entries you mention that are not already protected, you simply add them to the deafult Internet Explorer Group. These are the entries:


hkey_current_user\software\microsoft\internet explorer\search | * | Value

hkey_current_user\software\microsoft\internet explorer\searchurl | * | Value

hkey_current_user\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\explorer\browser helper objects | * | Value

hkey_local_machine\software\microsoft\internet explorer\search | * | Value

hkey_local_machine\software\microsoft\internet explorer\searchurl | * | Value

hkey_local_machine\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\explorer\browser helper objects* | * |Key + Value


Just click ADD RULE then add one of the entries above....making sure to tick "Contains wilcard characters". Once the new rule is entered then highlight the new entry and tick either "Modifying Reg Keys" or "Modifying Reg Values" (or both) then select "Ask User". Then repeat until all are added.

A little screeny showing an example of adding one of the extra entries from my former post. Also, if you add any of the wildcard entries tags (?, *, ~) be sure to tick the "contains wildcard characters".
